What's the thing you're better at than most people you know? You don't have to be the best in the world at it, just better than most anyone around you.

Here's mine:

1. I'm deadly accurate at flipping beer caps by snapping my fingers.
2. I'm a pretty good artist. Can draw/paint better than most people I've been around.

Singing. Being that I take years off in between different groups and church things, my voice has really gotten better and I have a lot more control over it. If only I was as good back in the skinny/younger days than I am in the fatter/balding days of now, I could have done something with it. Oh well.

Also the world's best at being humble.

That's definitely something I wish I was better at. Played guitar and sang backup, but never thought my voice was pleasing enough to sing much lead.

I've always sung harmony until just recently, too. Much different experience.

Ever try to make it?
Nah. Could've had a shot with a group of guys during college, but they went with acapella stuff when it was extremely unpopular. This was 20 years ago. They fizzled out after one of the guys went to NYC to try some things. Not sure where he ended up. Just stuck to church stuff and weddings (ceremonies, not that kind of wedding singer) after that. No regrets.

Best short stop and second basemen in the 80's and early nineties in softball in my humble opinion! Should have played college baseball. Could get to any ball up the middle. Would still play if asked, mid 50's people quit calling looking for slow infielders.

There will be rematches, Spear. I have some free time/workout time now and access to a The Gun. I'll step my game up and get myself back to my 18 year old form.

I've thrown a few more dunks down since last fall as well. I'll be 40 in 3 months. If I'm able to dunk a ball at 40, I'll call it a successful life.

I'm really good at cornhole, can beat almost anybody.

Really good at cooking meat, maybe not the best, but the best among people I know and most restaurants.

I give really good advice, because I do not think emotionally at all so it's easy for me to get to the reality of an issue and tell people what makes sense rather than what makes them feel good based on whatever emotions (anger, romance, etc) they have about the situation.

I also have the remarkable ability to catch slippery soap mid air with my eyes closed. My reflexes are like a ninja. I think all the cocaine enhanced that.
I always catch random stuff real quick. I didn't think anything of it, but at the Air and Space Museum in Washington they have this ruler with a weight attached to it that sticks to a magnet and releases at random intervals. You put your hand around this hole and grab it as soon as you see it drop. I consistently beat the time they said that really quick reflex Air Force pilots had and was way better than everyone else that was doing it.

I'll be up there next week, so I'm gonna try it. Thanks for sharing that. Taking those skills from the shower to the Air Force is big leap.

I have ungodly reflexes. If I drop anything I will snatch it out of the air before it hits the ground reflexively. It almost feels like being Jason Borne or something. My doctor has even commented on the astonishing speed of my reflexes.
