Per update on Inside NU, did just broke Washington State Metro Career Record.

Gladeskat somewhere is ready to mention Kevin Lawrence's 28 ypc. In this case though, the competition is not junk.

The Metro League — widely regarded as the state's top conference — has had several current and former NBA players pass through, including Aaron Brooks, Doug Christie, Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson, Brandon Roy and Jason Terry. Brown scored more career points than any of them and anyone else who has ever played in the Metro League.

I think he may end up being the best of our 3 incoming recruits even though he's the only 3 star. Dude can score, that's for sure.

From the videos I've watched, he looks to be a very similar player to Demps. Very hard to get a feel on his overall athleticism or size in the videos (listed from 6' to 6'3).

He appears to be a necessary piece to the Collins puzzle. I hope he can keep scoring!

I agree that he seems like an undersized shooting guard like Demps and that it is very difficult to try to gauge his athleticism. He is a lot smoother than Demps and I think he has a quicker release. He never looks like he is flying but he consistently manages to squeeze through defenders and get his shot off all over the court (including around the rim). I don't think he has Demps' hops, though, and I think he will have to rely on his floater a lot more in college. I haven't seen any highlights of him finishing above the rim. As a freshmen, I think he will have a better handle than Demps did early in his career and will be able to take some minutes as the "lead guard." It will be fascinating to see how he adjusts to being just another guy in the offense and to having to play defense consistently.

I've said this before, but I can see him spending some time next year with BM against teams with smaller guards, sort of like Iowa does with Clemmons and Gesel. Ash could probably also play minutes with either of those two under the same circumstances. We are a little short of shooting guards (and bigs) next year, and really loaded with wing players. Hopefully we can find ways to make it work.

With BMac, Law, Falzon, Lindsay/Pardon to an extent (and perhaps Rap) Collins should have some guys that can put the ball in the hoop. I could see him Brown being the instant offense bench type like Demps was in the past, but how many minutes he sees throughout the year might be closely related to what he can bring on the defensive end. BMac won't be sitting a ton, so if Isiah can hang with the opposition on D he may be able to take some of the minutes slotted for Lindsay/Ash(Law?) at the 2 as well.

His playing time could be also be dependent on whether Collins chooses to bring in a grad transfer at guard.

Man I hope this kid turns out to be the real deal. If he can add some quality minutes as a consistent scoring threat while spelling at the point and shooting guard roles, that would be huge for the team next year.

Seattle hoops is no joke, so any kid who can drop 50 on a Garfield team that's No. 1 in the state is going to be fine as an offensive player at the next level. They also use a 30-second shot clock in HS hoops in Washington so he'll come in with some experience with that.

Who knows how well-rounded he'll be initially, but I'm excited about bringing in a scorer like this.

I don’t know how/if this relates to Brown, but next year I hope we have a guy who can make other teams think twice about throwing full court pressure at us hoping to take momentum away, change the flow of the game, and force mistakes (aka, turnovers and short-clock offense after we get the ball up court). When the Cats have late leads in games, we are likely to see more of that given we were tentative (or rattled) and didn’t handle it well this year
