I don't know why it is such an affront to one's manhood to play zone - particularly in college where athleticism seems to play a bigger factor than pure shooting.

A well played zone limits buckets at the rim, can limit fouls and makes teams prove they can shoot the ball.
It's a lot tougher to body up guys and consistently get good box outs playing zone. Rebounding is one of the primary problems with playing zone. No matter how hard you work at finding "your" guy when the shot goes up, it seems like somebody's always free to hit the glass.

I don’t think any excuses will fly this year. Moos hasn’t exactly been gushing about Miles. I feel we say this every year but Miles is truely coaching for his job this year.

He should make the tourney. If not, then fire him. He's got the horses this year. No excuses.

If he makes the tourney and actually wins a game, does he bolt if someone wants him?

I honestly don't care. If he gets a win in the tourney he'll get a new contract. If he doesn't make the tourney, then buh-bye.
