Looks like the Iranians are spending the money Obama gave them. I hope they got a good deal on all those weapons for their terrorist buddies.
Israel’s patriot missile system shot down a drone over the Golan heights Thursday, the Israeli Defense Forces announced Thursday.
The shoot down follows a reported Israeli airstrike on a Hezbollah target near Damascus International Airport Wednesday. The strike hit weapons freshly ferried from Iran for the Lebanese terrorist group who is fighting on behalf of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad. Israel has not confirmed the strike, and usually does not acknowledge its airstrikes inside Syria.
The Syrian aircraft’s penetration of Israeli airspace could trigger another military strike from Israel. When Syria fired an anti-aircraft missile into Israel in late March, Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman declared to Israeli media, “The next time the Syrians use their air defense systems against our planes we will destroy them without the slightest hesitation.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also declared in late March, “When we identify attempts to transfer advanced weapons to Hezbollah and we have intelligence and it is operationally feasible, we act to prevent it.”
Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad accused Israel of “supporting terrorists” after the Wednesday strike. Assad is aligned with the Islamic Republic of Iran, who actively sponsors the Hezbollah terrorist organization.
