Issues With AOC

After studying this situation with AOC and the haters for 18 months or so, I believe the main problem with AOC is his nickname. While he is “Slim” he does not “ Reap” very much these last two seasons. Posters on the board make comments like, “The Slim Reaper only had 6 points in the game. I hate him. What is his problem?” However, the post “Georgia Slim contributed to the win with 6 points”, or “Slim Jim” had a good game, he added 6 points”, may take the pressure off AOC and we may see more 14 point games like yesterday.

Not trying to blame this board, but it is likely our fault.

Its true we've been tough on Alex(plead guilty), and i just want to give the kid a shout out! He finally hit that first one yesterday 2nd half (after horrendous 1st half) helping stretch the lead, a couple more for good measure and we never looked back!

I guess the op could have been 'poasting while drinkin', but I thought he was just having a little fun with the AOC complaining posters. I thought it was pretty funny, but that's how I roll. I remember a few posters (well, one in particular:)) thought I wasn't very finny with one of my threads a while back too. Of course I don't know much about Mr. Maisel's posting history, so I could be wrong.

Hey, I'm all in on any kind of karma, good luck charm, reverse jinx that gets Alex over the hump. Him figuring it out or whatever would have been so key to last years team, is so key for this years team, and will be for next years team.

BI was the original Slim Reaper, and he was Slim and he did Reap, so it fit him. I am not for re-using monikers.

I suggested Slim Jim, because Alex’s full name is Alex James O’Connell. The O in AOC is not for Oliver or Ocasio or any other middle name. His father is also Alex O’Connell, but has a different middle name: Alex is not a Junior. Alex was called Jim or Jimmy at Milton High School in Georgia, but never liked it, so he switched to Alex at Duke.

Alex is averaging 5.7 PPG so far on 36% shooting. We should only refer to him on the board as Slim Jim until Feb. 1 then we will re-visit this thread and see if he has improved.

Well, after seeing this last post of his he's removed all doubt of his intentions. I thought originally he was having a little fun with this (because I've did somewhat similar things), but his second post removes that possibility. I've never 'unliked' a post before (after giving a 'like'). I have now.
