Godfather's Pizza was the most unique tasting pizza. Never could figure out if I liked it or not. Only one I know is still around is in Myrtle Beach and has been at that location for at least 40 years. Are there any others?
Do you remember Yesteryears? I think that was the name. It was owned by the D'Antoni's from Mullens. Yes Mike and Dan. Mike checked out my brother one summer at an outdoor court at the high school and got him a preferred walkon at Marshall.

No, he actually played for Marshall one year. He played for MArshall in the first game against WVU when they had the JV teams play. Pretty sure Sid bostic played for WVU. After that year, Dave and I talked and he wanted to go to Pharmacy school. I said if you want to go to WVU Pharm school, you should be at WVU. He transferred, sat out a year and then walked on after getting into pharm school. He played all three years he was in pharm school. He probably was two year behind @pharm77 . FYI, we lost to Ron Lee and a couple of other football players in the championship intramural game. Ron could play.

My Ron Lee story was when my Dadisman Hall group of (mostly) freshmen and sophs got matched up in the all-campus IM basketball tournament against Lee, Chilly Mills, and their BUO team at the Field House.
We were getting our doors justifiably blown off when my fat *** got caught up court, and I was stuck "playing defense" with Lee taking the ball straight to the ring on a 2 on 1; no way he was giving it up. I sort of stuck my hip into Lee going up, and he went crashing to the floor......thought he was going get up and kill me, but he got off the floor laughing his *** off. Must have thought it was funny this lily white fat kid did something like that. Always thought it was cool he was later drafted in the 3rd round by the Colts.
Second time in my life I did that; the first was about 5 years earlier when I did it to some kid from Donora (PA) Junior High named Joe Montana in the same kind of garbage time. How my sad *** got hung out to dry twice in almost identical situations (by players like those) remains hard to fathom almost 50 years later.

I could slice Bru up like a freshly baked Pepperoni pizza, but after a few rounds with me over creation vs evolution and some other assorted discussions where I quickly exposed his weak underside, he promptly placed me on "ignore" and refuses any further crossfire with yours truly.

It was definitely the best gas station pizza by far and challenged some of the chains in my opinion. I’d say it most resembled pizza hut’s pan pizza. I was a fan. Their calzone were great.
I’d definitely put it above dominos, ginos, little Caesar’s, close to Pizza Hut, and below Papa Johns. Now, having grown up and moved out of state, I think all of those are garbage.
I like NY style. I like Pies and Pints. And if I could ever find the pizza from The Capri near the Raleigh County Armory, I’d be in heaven. It was even good when it went out towards WinterPlace it was renamed La Franks. King Tuts was always pretty good too, but i especially liked their poor man’s steak hoagies.
Deep dish pizza is my favorite. Hard to find in a lot of areas. Dominoes has one and so does Little Caesars but they are blah especially Little Caesars
Pizza Hut pan pizza is supposed to be their version of the deep dish. It’s disgusting however.

Papa Johns had a deep dish a few years ago that was pretty good but they discontinued it.
way too greasy. There is local joint here that has some decent pizza, Mellow Mushroom. Not a lot of venues, but where they serve it, it's pretty good fresh out the oven.

I didn’t see it, but I believe your description. When I was in high school, Pizza Hut was the best hang out. All of us would go there right after a Friday night game, getting there just before it closed, then go hang out at one of the “cool“ parent’s houses who would buy us beer.
