I think this will be his biggest hurdle in hiring a competent OC. I truly believe most decent OCs will believe they know more than Beamer. Good assistants are not looking to work for coaches who they think know more than.
You may as well add DC to that. I will be VERY surprised if Clayton White does not leave for another job after this season.

BS. We finished in the Top 10 3x & the Top 5 in 2013. That amounted to a lot to me & a lot of other longtime Gamecock fans.
Those guys on those '11-'13 FB teams beat taters 5x and had an 18 game win streak at W-B. That ain't no BS chicken curse.

You sound like an entitled brat.
Everyone enjoyed it but it really wasn't anything of substance. The trophy case is empty in the championship section. Clemson paid us back in spades, winning 7 in a row and that winning streak at WB felt good but didn't ultimately bring any sort of long term success. Spurrier won a lot of games over a four year period but that success didn't really change the trajectory of the program.

I think having a flash in the pan stint of success that doesn't result in any real, lasting success and returning to mediocrity is the definition of the chicken curse.

I'm far from entitled. I think getting our average wins up to 7 a season and having an overall winning record in SEC play are goals we should be pursuing. That is hardly the wants of an entitled person.

it doesn't matter who the coach is. Until Gamecock fans start ponying up to NIL, I dont know how much better it will get. How about every time you complain on this message board, you donate a dollar to Gamecock NIL. We'd have 20 million by the end of the month.
Giving Money to the buddy system in Columbia will not help.

Dabo has two national titles and played for 2 others. The "Dabo is just a cheerleader" schtick is based in ignorance. You don't play for 4 national titles and win 2 if you're not a very good head coach.

Of course he did. One of the major abilities a HC must demonstrate is the ability to identify and hire good assistants. Nick Saban had GREAT assistants...some of the best in the game. That does not mean he wasn't a good HC. It means he was a good HC because he was able to identify and hire them.

You're misunderstanding my previous post. Of course, an assistant may know more than a HC about their particular specialty. But they aren't typically going to work for a HC who they don't think they can learn from in some way and grow as a coach. Dabo has been able to hire quality assistants b/c he has demonstrated himself to be a good HC who others think they can benefit from.

Beamer, as of yet, does not have that capacity.
