The announcers indicate that last year Audige was playing hurt but this year finally healthy. Healthy he looks like he might be 10% better from three than last years 25% and that could make a HUGE difference. Maybe he can be the go to guy that we have been missing
Wasn't there a game at Indiana two years ago that Audige just took over in the 2nd half? Ah, so long ago, maybe it was just my purple colored glasses...

Yes that did happen.
Like opening Pandora's box of ill-advised shots, tolerated by the coach.

I am just saying that Audige was not healthy last year and that likely had a lot to do with his shooting % to about down to about 25%. from 3. If his health now allows him to raise that to 35% for three, it could help a lot

I agree that Audige shooting 35% from three would help a lot.
I think the "he was hurt all year" excuse is being overplayed.
He took a lot of bad shots last year.
Nobody forced him to do that.
His issues on offense were primarily mental not physical.
If the new assistants are now helping Audige to play in a more controlled manner - that would be great.

The jury is still out and we really won't know until January when we play Big Ten teams.

He actually took slightly more shots, including 3-pointers, his first year at NU. I don’t remember him being any more under control that year. It’s hard to shoot 33 percent from the field. Bad shot selection alone does not explain that. I don’t know if it was injuries (I hope so and I hope he is healthy for his sake and the teams). We need him to be an average shooter to have any success because he is our best defender. Reducing bad shots will certainly help.
