It would be racist not to fire Stoops if has a 2 win season.

Joker went 6-6, 5-7 and 2-10. A lot of racial undertones if he gets to stay on if that scenario plays out. Joker actually had better on field success.

Get out of here with that crap. At least Stoops has recruited well. But if he does indeed go 2-10 he does need to be fired

Butts in the seats will tell the tale. If the day ever comes when the Wildcats take the field under Stoops to 20,000-25,000 fans, Mitch will have to make the call.

Actually this raises another point. After 1.5 seasons Mitch gave Stoops a HUGE extension. Joker did no worse. Why was HE not given a similar extension?

Am I wrong and why am I wrong?

You are wrong. 2 main reasons:

1. Their starting points. Joker took over after one of the best strings of success the programs had in recent history. He had decent talent on the roster for his first season. He then throttled it back to garbage. Enter Stoops to clean it up.

2. Recruiting. Joker's recruiting was truly terrible. There was no reason whatsoever to think joker was going to turn things around if he had a couple more years to develop his talent because his talent sucked. Stoops and co. have recruited as well and as consistently as any UK staff in modern football.

^^ This a thousand times over. I hate to start the process once again but the only way to get rid of Stoops is to stay home and make Commonwealth a ghost town. He is a TERRIBLE coach who's had plenty of time to make the program even slightly better and he's failed miserably. Another UK football coach that makes fools of the fans that support him but walks away as a multi millionaire. Something's bad wrong with that scenario.

OMFG!!!! You are absolutely stretching for something here to connect 2 bad coaches with a race concern. Did Joker have a 15M buy out as well?

Which tells us just how bad a coach Stoops really is.

Well unlike Joker, at least Stoops is smart enough not to say "talk to me when were 2-10" after going 0-1

Coaches are judged by on field success which nullifies your entire argument.

I have a feeling that day is fast approaching. It might even be in 2 weeks....
And THIS is what needs to happen to change the culture at UK. Fans NEED to be MORE microwave. Do you think Bama fans would tolerate a coach like Stoops?

The more impatient the fans get, the more they reject mediocrity. And the closer UK comes to real reform in the football program.

Wrong, again.

1. Judging coaches by on the field success doesn't change number one at all, but nice try I guess?

2. Recruiting is a big part of on the field success. Stoops does it a LOT better than Joker. So it's not that hard to see why an objective person might be more hopeful that Stoops would turn things around on the field than Joker.

True. And he has produced worse results (than Joker) with that recruiting. Yeah yeah yeah Joker sucked and we can lay blame on him, but at some point, that excuse runs it course.

Sorry. Joker sucked, but Stoops is also in over his head and waiting/ holding on to hope due to recruiting clearly is a waste of time. He's had plenty of time to produce something better than this. It's not working.

Not defending stoops. If we went 2-10 I think he should absolutely go, buyout be damned. Just pointing out why it's dumb to call it racist to keep stoops on after a 2-10 season.

It's not racist, it's stupid - which is Moron Mitch's general M.O. when it comes to football coaches. IMO.
