I have two rooting interests for this one. The father of a student at my school works with West Saratoga and my daughter is babysitting for the trainer of Epic Ride. They would make for a nice exacta.

Way too many horses. The best horse can get boxed in and he's screwed.

Given that Royal Dornoch is (imo) the best golf course in the world, I'll go w/ the 1 Horsie.
I haven't put much effort looking for the horse with a set of mudders as the parents so I'm going with Dornoch as well since he is Mage's brother. Mage was last years Derby winner and I had the party pool which paid $185!

If you win big, go play the golf course. Damn near in the Arctic Circle, but incredible.

I want Jason Werth's hair. I could do it, even at my age. Just can't make the commitment.

I get it, but really bad for the sport if this ends up happening...

If this one happens it is forgivable, but SpendaBuck in 1985 cannot be forgiven. Winning the Triple Crown was always about pride/fame/glory/the immortality of being a Triple Crown Winner and never about the money. In 1985 that began to change and one greedy owner along with the trainer decided the money was more important. The owner of the track (I forget his name) probably should have been strung up for offering a $2M bonus if the Kentucky Derby winner would come and race in his big race, The Jersey Derby which required skipping the Preakness. Everyone I knew on the track was speechless that this was happening.

Here is my opinion on Ken McPeek (Mystik Dan) and Chad Brown (Sierra Leone) possibly missing the Preakness. They're ducking Bob Baffert and Muth, plain and simple. Some say it's really not an official Triple Crown because the Belmont is being held at Saratoga Springs and reduced to a 1-1/4 mile race, so why go to the Preakness. True horsemen like Jim Fitzsimmons, D' Wayne Lukas, Shug McGaughey, Woody Stephens, Charlie Whittingham or Rich Dutrow would never duck Baffert. JMHO
