I understand but there isn't much basketball news right now and the Paddock is just a bunch of guys who think they are comedians and are always making smart aleck remarks about most things you post.

Is his middle initial E? I need to know.

Also, has he ever commanded an army in military action against the US of A? If he has then I understand the angst over his assignment.

Did they honestly think anyone would be rioting at the football game over the play by play guys name? Not to mention he is of Asian decent.

Not sure if they did or not, but it looks like they didn't even want to risk it.

It's what PC leads to and will only lead to more ridiculous acts like these. ESPN made an issue where there wasn't one. Very few folks care or know who the announcers are at a game.
Not to mention they discriminated against this guy just because of his name. I hope he sues them to the point they go bankrupt.

Racism has always been around but overall there hasn't been much of an issue for decades until Obama starting tweeting & commenting about every police shooting before there was one fact out. He really stirred the pot & said nothing to throw water on the fire he started after facts pointed towards justification in the Brown case etc.

This is where we are now.
The Country has a ton of absolute idiots that think the world evolves around them.
This is about as bad as several years ago. Someone on I believe the Washington D.C. city council. Used the word niggardly at a council meeting. This word means cheap, miserly, & tight with money. There's nothing at all racial about this word. Despite that. He was forced to resign his seat on the city council....

DEAR LORD HELP US ALL!.... What has happened to our country?

Damn good thing the Dukes of Hazard was my show 30 years ago. Today it would not have survived.

Agree on Eclipse. Just saying you have to literraly sift through this board now for UK BASKETBALL info. Shouldn't be that way when there is a general discussion board. This topic leads to politics. Yuck. Can we go ANYWHERE anymore without politics???

You also have to sift through replies to find decent conversation rather than neanderthal drool. We could just post threads all day long about how UL stinks, that's UK basketball through and through.

Mob rule fully actualized. The minority thought police control the media, educational and governmental institutions now, so expect more irrational defiance towards those who have a differing perspective. Where is the forum for respectfully debating and discussing ideas? Used to be that colleges and grammar schools were the open places for the analysis of a myriad of ideas. Now, anyone espousing an opinion that runs contrary to the "public prevailing narrative" is immediately targeted and silenced. Good thing they banned the public stocks, hangings and burning at the stakes of past centuries..now you can be fired, face discrimination and blacklisting from obtaining a job in a similar industry. Also, thankful for a constitutional bill of rights guaranteeing free speech - at least for now.

ESPN is more liberal than most news channels. FWIW, Robert E. Lee didn't own slaves and he was opposed to slavery. He sided with the South because his loyalty was to his home state of Virginia. Many top Southern officers were opposed to slavery. They felt that their homes were being invaded by an oppressive government that was overreaching their bounds.

I'm for taking down the statutes.
But this is absolutely ridiculous and only fuels the "slippery slope" argument folks on the left make.

A recent study showed sports analyst voted in lockstep for Hillary by an astounding 95%. That's supposedly worse than CNN and the NYT.

It's getting bad. There is no longer an arena of ideas in that market. That's why insane situations like this occur. No one with a shred of sanity in the room.

I think its the Right that makes the slippery slope comments. The left wants to slide down the hill as fast as possible...

With respect to this situation, what a joke ESPN has become.

Not ONE person can put up a valid reason as to why this should have happened. That's insanity.
The left doesn't operate on reason but thrive in the insane. Remember this is the same company who gave the woman of the year award to a man.

This. When the POTUS incites violence and invites members of hate groups to the White House you know he had evil intentions for our country. Divide and Conquer. He wants Islam to take over America and by having us at war with each other we didn't pay attention to all the crazy stuff going on overseas like pulling our troops out of Afghanistan and importing 500 Syrian refugees a day into our country.

This type of thing is why espn is hemorrhaging uncontrollably.
It should have never be deleted in the first place. I posted on the thread Taft was deleted. I guess the site police don't like opinions being discussed

ESPN just needs to go away. Unbelievable how stupid they have become. I seriously thought this was a spoof news piece when I first saw it.

If I wrote for The Onion:

Bob Ley of ESPN's Outside the Lines has taken to twitter recently to clarify the spelling of his last name. "I know it's pronounced "Lee" said Ley, but it actually ends in "Y" He later tweeted that he was considering changing the pronunciation to "Lay", but didn't want to offend the feminist movement.

This is beyond stupid! We might as well throw out our history. I'm sure they will take the whole Civil War out our history books. Kids won't be allowed to learn about it, they will just wipe it from history.
