All I know is that this thread got thrown in the trash, like I said it would. Politics is suffocating because both sides are scum and people act like only one side is scum. It makes them look really stupid.

It got thrown in the trash?!

How did I just post then?!

This. When the POTUS incites violence and invites members of hate groups to the White House you know he had evil intentions for our country. Divide and Conquer. He wants Islam to take over America and by having us at war with each other we didn't pay attention to all the crazy stuff going on overseas like pulling our troops out of Afghanistan and importing 500 Syrian refugees a day into our country.
That is not true. Where do you get this BS

You can stop telling me journalism is important now. Reuters is now calling him Robert e Lee's doppelganger. It must be hard to commemorate with a corn cob pipe and wooden teeth. Guys got to tend to his tobacco.

Listen to the talking heads as to why NASCAR attendance has declined and one of the main points is that they got away from their southern roots and started racing in California, Arizona, Las Vegas and dropped tracks in the south.
Different subject but the main reason for the down fall of NASCAR is not where they are racing but who. Now all the drivers look like boy band wannabes with cars.

I never have understood why someone can't just skip over a thread if it upsets that person
Looks like Providence will be getting a recruit named, wait for it...David Duke

Ohh espn, what will you do?!

This is exactly what I've been waiting on. People are going to be scouring the earth looking for anyone with a name that can be linked to some kind of past villain.

It takes a special kind of dipshit to actually think there's anything beneficial from doing what ESPN just did. That group lives on a slippery slope while screaming we're paranoid for believing it.

That is definitely one of the factors along with high ticket prices, crappy racing and most would just as soon watch on their big screen in HD as fight the traffic.

I'm surprised ESPN is even willing to cover UK basketball home games. After all, we play in Adolph Rupp Arena.
A liberal genius in my office, as support for her assertion that Rupp was a racist, mentioned that he was named Adolph.

Rupp was born in 1901, a year in which Hitler was probably not even out of grade school. Nonetheless, Rupp's parents obviously named him after Hitler.

Latest related story I heard was someone getting triggered because of somebody who had the same name as Robert E Lee's dog. I kid you not.

There was an article about the horse mascot at USC having to be renamed because it's name was Traveller and that was Robert E Lee's horses name.

The absurdity of liberals in all this is beyond comprehension. They literally have to be mad at someone 24/7/365. You'd have thought Trump would have been enough to satisfy their demented need but, no. Now, they are hating soldiers who've been dead 150+ years and Lee's horse. And of course...pretty much anything in the southern US.

I'll take ESPN's side over Clay Travis'. It's not about offending anyone, it's about trying to avoid the inevitable "hur hur, Robert Lee is still in Charlottesville" jokes people like Clay Travis would be making.
They did it over jokes? That would be pretty stupid.

I really doubt anyone would have gave a ****, or even noticed that his name was Robert Lee. And if anyone did, who cares?

ESPN just needs to go away. Unbelievable how stupid they have become. I seriously thought this was a spoof news piece when I first saw it.
I thought it was a joke too. But then I saw ESPN confirm it. ESPN is a joke.

There should be two sides to this debate - ESPN vs everyone else.

Arguably the dumbest PR decision from a US corporation this year/decade/millennium
Google firing that guy over that memo was pretty ridiculous too. Not sure which one was worse.
