Its weird that I expect a win this weekend.

Yeah he edited that post after I liked it so I went back and unliked it when it went "there" earlier. I just like the banter with Thee Rick. If we met at a tailgate I'd give him the same ball busting over a Lite. He never tries to cause grief here.

Would ND lose to NI if they played again? Would you bet on NI?
It's common for talented teams to sleepwalk especially coming off a tough loss and facing an opponent they don't respect. It's a coaches nightmare, but it happens. The Ohio State team will be firing on all cylinders against an opponent that they respect, with a national audience etc. No one is saying they are invincible. They have a 1 point loss. Pointing out their weaknesses and ignoring PSUs serious injury issues is foolish. PSUs best win is vs an Illinois team that Oregon dismantled. How good are they? We find out Saturday.
I never said that we don't have injury issues. Both teams do. But I stated that our front 7 is much better than Nebraska's, regarding OSU's ability to run the ball, and you responded, "The $20 million dollar version will be unleashed." OSU couldn't run the ball against us last year, and their OL is not any better, so I'm not sure what makes you confident that they'll run the ball.

They've been having OL issues all year. the RG is weak, and the LG is most likely moving out to LT which most likely weak LG. and while the LG that's moving to LT is a stud, that's a different position and i'm interested to see Abdul and potentially DDS with their speed rush go against a dude used to playing guard.

And if the OL can't hold up, you have 2.3 yards per carry, and not enough time for the QB to wait for the WRs to get open.

If PSU is smart, they pressure all game and play man under cover 2 (not press) on the outside WRs to let the pressure get home, and force them to run the ball (risky, because they have the RBs to light us up, but the OL hasnt' helped the run game)

If tOSU is smart, they go to the quick passing game that gave us fits against Bowling Green. Imagine trying to not let Smith get inside with his 6'3" 220lb self
OSU receivers are game breakers. I'm not convinced PSU matches up.

What I'm confident of is that you will see a much more inspired effort from Ohio State than the turd they dropped last week.

Agreed. That DE of theirs who only shows up on highlight tape when we play him is STILL on the roster.

More pressure to win this weekend (objectively speaking) - Ryan Day or James Franklin? I think Day - he has a loss already and another might bounce OSU from the playoff if PSU, Indiana, and Oregon stay on track (one loss or fewer). I am actually going to miss a big chunk of the game this weekend (school event in the morning then straight to ballet, so won’t be able to watch until around 2 or so…) and am really comfortable with a win or loss noting absolutely prefer the former. Handling USC and Wisconsin is a major reason for this.

As always, you're well grounded. Now me, I'll start freaking out around 9:00 A.M. after downing about four cups of coffee and then going for a long pre-game bike ride to try to settle the nerves. I'll then sit down with the dog for the upcoming torture. My long term partner will be out doing more productive things. She's seen enough of my act during these type of games.

Day. Can't take a second L with that million dollar roster. Some of those big NIL players will start to look at the NFL draft and check out of the OSU.

I agree it's Day. He might get fired if he losses this game.

Also, PSU win with a loss in The B1G championship gives them a 5-7 seed. PSU loss and no B1G championship game appearance gives them a 6-8 seed.
