The goal before the season was a bowl game. After two weeks that seemed impossible and then we lost our starting QB.

Since then we have hunkered down and went to work each week to get better. We are locked in a bowl and get 19 starters back next year and 39 out of 44 on the two deep + both kickers.

Do I wish we would have beat Georgia? F yes. Was I pissed off about it and still to this second? F yes.

But......no one can say this team hasn't improved. We have up 35 in the first half to New Mexico State for god sakes.

We are finally climbing the hill. If you can't see that...sorry.

In OP's defense of posts to likes ratio, didn't the old post count (before likes were a thing) carry over when they made the forum switch?

Mine didn't. I had somewhere around 700 posts & logged in one day to find I had zero, lol. Granted, I probably only posted 5-10 times over the last couple years but I was active, lurking at least, everyday. I obviously wasn't active ENOUGH. I don't know why else my posts were wiped out when the majority of posters weren't affected. I was never suspended or involved in any controversy or turmoil & have been a member since 1999, although I changed screen names in '06 & that is now my official join date. I don't get it. I was never a volume poster, aside from the LOD days, & never thought of myself as relevant on the boards, but having all your posts erased out of the blue for no reason will leave you with no doubt about exactly how relevant you are. Definite confidence booster, lol.

UGA will get better, and they will pass us. Recruiting base, simple as that.

Doesnt mean we can never beat them in the future.

They had to kick a last second field goal to beat us, a team that couldn't hold NMSU under 500 yards and playing with a backup QB.

We played with them and had them beat, it's ok to be upset, I'm not one for moral victories either, but it was good to see the toughness on defense and rushing for 186.
No they won't! Smart was playing with Richt's players, and Richt was an excellent recruiter! To date, Smart has under coached! As long as Smart is the head coach at Georgia, we got this! Believe me, Georgia won't pass us up! Richt would have this team owning the SEC-East this year! Whoever fired Richt in favor of Smart is an idiot!

Yeah, just like those who said UGA had no chance this past game.

GA is fertile recruiting ground and connections throughout the south.

Smart hasn't coached a full season yet, and UGA fans have complained that this roster is the weakest Richt had put together.

This was the year to put them away, we will have other chances, but this was probably the best case scenario.

I have zero doubt UGA will rebound, they already have a lot of talent, I'd be willing to bet that Smart has much higher ranked classes than UK each year.

The OP acts as if we already lost to UT and UL. Lets wait until those games are over first.

Mark does have to win one of those. No question

Right.

Thirteen point underdog tomorrow and who knows how many to Transfer U and if he doesn't win one of them fire him. LOL

Georgia's last 4 class rankings were: 12, 6, 7, 11. They already have higher ranked classes

@Mike237

See MKGMVP's post.

UGA has 4 straight top 12 classes on the sidelines right now and the last I checked they have the #5 class for this coming year and we are at #39 in Rivals most recent rankings.

My point is better players usually make better teams.

UGA will continue to have higher ranked players which usually translates into better teams.

Also, it is hard to judge Kirby in year one.

I'm not advocating that this was the only year we have a shot to beat UGA but it was probably one of the best opportunities, we will see what happens next year as that may be our best team in a long time.

I would like to see your reasoning as to why UGA will not rebuild faster and inevitably pass us up.

I'll gladly trade the Jawguh loss for a Rocky Top win!!!!!
