He wanted to maximize their time but it backfired when we hit our FT. If we run down the clock and hit a layup it puts him in a deeper hole with less time.

Derek has balls. He didn't want to pass it to super senior Caleb who just made 2 FTs. He wanted to step the line as a freshman against HOF izzo and the Spartans at MSG

Thing is, on two or three of the fouls, MSU actually had our guys trapped deep in our own end. I thought they should’ve gone for the steals there. The fouls were actually bailouts.
