Eagles on 2 of first three holes. Can't start much better. One stroke behind. Excuse me for using football site.
Thank you...no biggie, but im sure you'll catch some flack that it dosent belong here, but JB is a CAT so I have zero problem.Eagles on 2 of first three holes. Can't start much better. One stroke behind. Excuse me for using football site.
He's at 650k 109th right now on the money list and he does seem to have one rd that kills his chances a lot.I love to see JB playing well. His biggest problem with not winning more, IMHO, is his inability to sustain good play through four days. Seems like he disappears too many times on Sunday leader boards.
I hope JB has a great year and stays inside the top 75 on the PGA money list.
Well, he did have brain surgery.Forget I posted. He followed up a bogey on 7 with a 3-puttd from 2'9"
double bogey on 8. I think J B is only
pro would do that. I think his problem is in his head.
I love J.B., but you’re right, he seems to lose focus at times. He's at 650k 109th right now on the money list and he does seem to have one rd that kills his chances a lot.
If he can have a good rd today he can cash a good check...go JB!I love J.B., but you’re right, he seems to lose focus at times.
Great tournament. However, his bogey on 17 came from the fairway. His approach was 40 yards right of the center of the green. Just an unforced error that’s going to end up costing him FedEx Cup points and thousands of dollars in cash.JB finishes the tournament at - 9 tied for third at the moment and probably will not finish any worse than 4th depending on how a couple of guys behind him closeout... good job mr. Holmes.
J B didn't get hurt by his bogey on 17.Finished 3rd due to collapse on final2 holes by Stewart Cink. Dustin Johnson wins with Eagle on 72nd hole.
He did not. Cink bogeyed both 17 and 18 to finish a stroke behind him, and Wrewinski bogeyed 17 to end up a shot behind J.B.! This was huge for him.J B didn't get hurt by his bogey on 17.
He should win about 400k for his finishJ B didn't get hurt by his bogey on 17.
Puts him well over a million on the year.J B won $44&,&00. Fourth place won $316,800.
Yep, and that basically makes him exempt for next season. It also moves him up in the FedEx standings.Puts him well over a million on the year.
Huge difference.J B won $44&,&00. Fourth place won $316,800.

This is exactly what he needed, considering he hasn’t played all that well up to this point in the season.
I noticed that. Not a good look for Johnson.Several of the players greeted the St Jude kid that would meet them on the 18th after finishing. Some gave the kid an autographed glove or ball. Some would shake their hand and have some conversation with them. One of the tourney guys tried to introduce Dustin Johnson and he just gave a little nod and walked away, not even slowing down. Such arrogance, might be a good talent, but that looks like that's all he has.
Johnson is so crazy talented it’s sickening. If he had the heart and determination of a player like Spieth, he’d be almost unbeatable.I'd love to have D J's swing and Ricky Fowler's demeanor. Heck, I'd even go with just Ricky for both.
At times, DJ just doesn't appear to be invested.
Do you guys think J.B. will win again?
He’s thirty six. It seems his best chances to win are in tournaments that the scores aren’t 16-20 under.
The tougher courses where the winning score is 8-10 under are his best chances IMO.
Just wanted to see what the other golf fanatics here think.
If that is true, then DJ goes on my **** list with Tiger.Several of the players greeted the St Jude kid that would meet them on the 18th after finishing. Will he qualify for The Open? Would be great to have a hometown guy at the Barbasol
He’s now ranked in the top 100 in the World Golf Rankings, it would be hard for him to fall low enough in the next four weeks for him not to qualify for the Open. Will he qualify for The Open? Would be great to have a hometown guy at the Barbasol
Great post. Pretty much my thoughts as well. There are so many talented young golfers that one must be crazy good to win on the PGA Tour. J B Holmes will probably win again, but not a major. Having said that, he was in the mix right up until the final few holes of the U S Open a couple/few years ago.
I think J B gambles too much and throws in some over-par rounds way too often. But, he just finished third at Memphis, and if D Johnson hadn't played so well, J B could very well have won.
As long as he can finish in the top 100 on the money list and earn enough Fedex Cup points to stay in the late summer tournaments he will make a lot of money. I'll be pulling for him. I grew up near Campbellsville, Ky where he's from.

As much as I would like to see him play in the Barbasol, I think he’ll be overseas that week.
If that is true, then DJ goes on my **** list with Tiger.
JB would do well to develop a more defined pre-shot routine.....the one he uses right now is awkward and very time consuming...which leads to indecisiveness sometimes.
4 minutes and 10 seconds to hit this one---->
I followed him at the Memorial for all four rounds last week, and I have to say he’s picked up his pace a bit from when I’ve followed him in the past. Don’t get me wrong, he’s still takes longer than he should, but it’s not as bad as some I’ve seen. That being said, Patrick Cantlay is the absolute slowest I’ve ever seen, and it’s really not even close.
Other slow players I’ve followed in person.
Mark Brooks
Zach Johnson...he’s painfully slow, especially on the greens.
Jason Day
Padraig Harrington
