If Farniok goes onto make it in the pros even as backup or practice squad, that is definitely a firable offense against Greg Austin, farniok always seemed like he was just there to get in the road of defense but never actually do anything as a lineman. I’m biased of course because I think lineman shouldn’t have long ***** boy hair too. Biggest pet peeve of our lineman over the years for me is the long hair and no mean streak

For one, I don't think Farniok was near as bad as he was made out to be. He was never our worst Olineman as some people liked to proclaim. The other thing about Farniok is he always had a lot of upside, but he never came close to reaching his potential while he was here, just like every other lineman that's come through here recently.

He could try to get right into coaching, young and still a name, latch on and make dick for a few years and then after 5 years or so make some nice cash coaching in college or the pros.

Agreed. I'm not down on him. He's a talented player and he's a hard worker. But his time is up or close to it. A second chapter of his life will probably be pretty awesome too.

that's for full pension

partial pension payments are rewarded for any retired player who spent 3 years on an active roster

Unless it changed I don't think they can start collecting until 55. I guess they can always go to JG Wentworth, "It's my money and I want it now!"
