What a great example of a player who improves over 3 years.

He's played phenomenal basketball. He should be the poster boy for what a kid can do if he is patient in a program.

His court awareness, 3 point shot, and savvy play has really demonstrated how hard he has worked.

As great as the big 3 and four freshmen as a whole are, White is just that kind of "glue guy" who is essential to winning a title.

As the others hopefully adjust and develop a better passing game as a whole, this could become a really good team.

Knocked back by a veteran, physical team in Gonzaga, but I would love to face them again in the FF. It would still be a close game, and I think it would go down to the wire, but I think Duke would be much better defensively and not get so far behind. And I think Duke would win.

Say what you want about how Bolden played yesterday but he won us the Auburn game. Our captains have really stepped up.

Very impressed with him this year but it does feed my curiousity wondering if he had been given time the previous two years could he have contributed more those years too.....many discussions on this board about talent that sits the bench and see little time thanks to epic freshman OAD's. He is proving time pays but maybe playing time pays to help bolster our depth. He's earning his captain status.

Playing time is one of the biggest debates on this board. I think Jack could have helped more last season. In the minutes he played, he was solid.
One side refuses to question K on this matter, the other side wonders if so and so can’t help more.

IMO, AOC was the guy who could have helped us more last year with his shooting. Jack was not consistently hitting 3s when given the chance last year.

Jack is a monster on the boards and has improved tremendously with every facet of his game. Last night was also Javin’s best game of the season in my opinion. Duke needs Bolden, Jack, Javin, O’Connell all to be solid glue guys when they are on the court for our Blue Devils to reach their full potential this season.

Do you think White will continue to play 25 mpg once conference play starts?
Or is Coach K still tweaking his lineup?

Maybe and definitely. So far he has proven himself a guy who can fit in somewhere regardless of match-up. Quis and AOC haven't yet. Jack's minutes stand to be more consistent/even/predictable than theirs, though if AOC hits a hot shooting streak or Quis is able to stay near the basket on D, Jack will be squeezed.

I don't see Jack's minutes being squeezed at all. I think Coach K knows exactly what he's going to get from him each game. Alex,Javin, and Ques ar still question marks going forward to me.

Jack has been the biggest surprise on this team, he belongs out there and it’s clear K trusts him.
I love when he takes the open 3, and he has actually been getting to the rim too, that’s free money for this team.

Hachamura did eat his lunch though, it was clear K didn’t want Zion to guard him for foul purposes. But late in the game....Zion only had 2 fouls, I don’t know why K kept Jack on him to be honest.

Maybe he will get around 25 per...

If we play deeper than 6, the minutes have to come from somewhere. I don't have faith those will come from RJ or Tre, much as I'd like them to. I would like for the 3 you mention to all warrant enough time that Jack and the 4 freshman starters all give up a few minutes.

Really Jack is the first player to come along and remind me of the Bilas/Alarie days.

He shoots better than Bilas, but his defense is very similar to Alarie and Bilas
