I just saw on X that Jake Schaffner was named the CCBL 10th player of the year. It sounds like a pretty big award, even though I don’t exactly know what it is. I’m going to miss Alex so much, but I think Jake will fit in nicely!

The Manny Robello 10th Player Award is given to a player that exceeds expectations on the field as a teammate and displays exemplary citizenship off the field in the community.
Hyannis put out a video of him receiving the award and you can hear the PA announcer explaining that he took a fastball off the hand and rather than shutting it down for the summer he came back and played (well).
Can report that this is completely accurate, he went to the ER and everything. Most guys (and I have seen many) will leave for much smaller things but not Jake.
