True. We've had a ton of injured players the last few years: Lowe, Butler, Robinson, Carr, JQ, Kriisa, Wheeler, Grady, Clarke, Jackson, Ty Ty Washington, etc.

It makes watching frustrating.
Yep. No doubt.

Oweh doesn’t pass the ball and turns it over.
Right, but when he’s playing like he did last year the defense has to keep help defenders at the ready to assist on his drives. That helps open up shots for shooters because of the gravity. We have other guys like DA and Chandler who can score

You are just extraordinary at trashing Ky basketball players. I’m in awe.
Could’ve gotten a real center in the portal but didn’t do that could’ve gotten more than 1 pg didn’t do that . Could’ve gotten guys that could shoot didn’t do that . Could’ve gotten players that could play defense because we aren’t elite if we’re we wouldn’t have given up 96 pts to Louisville. Elite defenders don’t do that

I just saw this, you’ve got to be kidding me, what is going on the last two years with shoulder injuries. This is kind of odd, Butler last year and now Lowe, this is a chronic injury that will plague us again this whole year too. Well, it is what it is and for our team it’s the most important piece. All I can do is just say why Kentucky again?

I facepalm as well whenever Brandon dribbles into the lane with a mindset of "I can take this half-hook shot over this bigger defender" only to watch him clank virtually every shot outside of five feet.
His offense isn’t his strong suit but he adds a lot defensively, especially in PnR defense which is our biggest flaw atm

I think some are over dramatic when they lay EVERYTHING at the feet of the coaching staff. However, this is one time that I'm going to do just that. I honestly didn't understand the logic of rushing Lowe back before he was ready just to try and win one game which is clearly what happened here (especially one that was VERY early in the season, on the road, and against a rival that has been frothing at the mouth to get one over on us). If we couldn't beat them with every HEALTHY body we've got then it is what it is, congratulate the punks and move on to the next one. We have 28 regular season games left after that one. This is the time we should be focusing on getting better and getting everyone close to 100% healthy, there was no need to rush, it wasn't tournament time. Going by a normal timetable for this type of injury we probably would've got him back close to Thanksgiving. Now we're looking at probably a close to Christmas or New Years return. Just a bad call, IMO, and one that I hope doesn't come back to bite us throughout the season.

It’s beyond me how anyone with eyes doesn’t see Moreno is just a better player than Garrison already

I’m directing that at pope more than you cause I do think he will continue to start garrison and play him more minutes. If he’s bad against MSU and we lose I could see Moreno start stealing minutes afterwards
This team goes far if Quaintance is good with Moreno and Garrison splitting the minutes. I'm as positive as anybody, but if Garrison is our starting C all season, this team won't do much.

Oh!!!! Good at bashing coaches too. So talented.

What makes you think they can’t play defense? I have four numbers for you….. 2, 0, 1 ,4 . They struggled with defense all year long, until they didn’t. The next year they became the most stifling defense college basketball has ever seen.

I think I see your mistake. You forgot a word. Yet. Can’t play defense YET.

Sit this kid until late February to give us a chance. I'm sick of these injuries. Aberdeen can be serviceable interim option, but who backs him up, the turnover prone Johnson or the ill-equipped Chandler? Pop has his work cut out for him figuring this out for the 2nd season in a row 😒

whats ur problem, your feelings hurt?
all im saying is that i dont think this team has it, win a couple games here and there and get some momentum going into next year
You’re on a UK messageboard talkin **** about the team and you’re surprised someone’s taking you to task? Are you dumb? Try that on any team’s boards and you’ll be met with the same blowback.

Why? Can’t switch on screens with MM. Guys were blowing by him like he was standing still. Great rebounder, brute in the paint but he’s raw and still developing.

Yup just saw it on Facebook, he hurt it again in practice: we are ******* cursed man.
I have a question and maybe its off the mark but what is going on in our practices where our guys keep going down. Lowe 3 times so far .2 times in practice and then our pre-season scrimmage. Jax last year in practice.

So odd compared to other teams.

This is gonna be a problem all year. My buddy had a shoulder that constantly popped in an out of socket. We have to put it back in so many times until he had surgery.

no freaking clue, obviously his shoulder is now going to be an issue from any contact all year. I wouldn’t be shocked if he has surgery and just shuts it down.

They did the same thing with Robinson last year, and do you remember how he immediately hurt his hand again?

This program is cursed.

Thanks, Calipari! Whatever deal you made with Satan to land Anthony Davis came at a high cost.

That's what the plan to build the team around defense because they sure as hell took a step down in offense

Well, it’s gonna be better than 67% this year or the fanbase will revolt. Injuries or anything else won’t work as an excuse this year
I still don't think Pope is a killer, and only killers make it here. Cal was a killer for a few years until he won it all in 2012. Pitino was a killer. Smith inherited a team of Pitino's killers and never sniffed a Final Four again after that first year. Joe B. Hall couldn't cut it because he lacked the killer mindset. Rupp was the coldest of killers. Sutton and BCG were chronic drunks, and drunks don't know how to wage total warfare.

I like Pope the person, but I can't take much more of his Mr. Rogers' neighborhood approach to what is a total war-level competitive sport that requires sociopathic obsession in order to win at the highest levels.

I hate to say it, but I honestly don't trust Pope with this program. I don't like how he's slow played the Stokes recruitment. I don't like how he's been shown up by Alabama in the Holt recruitment. I don't like how he got blitzed for guys like Wilson, Lanier, Dent, Wilkerson, and Ament.

I simply don't think he's sociopathic enough to win a title here. He'll win some big games and win the press room for a few years, but he doesn't seem to think we need to go all in on real lottery-level talent, and that's where he diverges from Rupp, Pitino, and Calipari and goes more towards the Tubby Smith side of philosophical program direction.

Not good. I already feel like Holt/Stokes will be his version of Tubby's Chris Duhon/Darius Rice swing-and-a-miss.
