26 percent three point shooter. Is this one we should be excited about?
Averaged 16.8 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.2 rebounds last season. Will have 2 years of eligibility remaining.

37% shooter and 26% from 3 n the mid major awful acc. Will be interesting to see the spin Job from our fanbase on this.

I browsed the Pitt board the other day. A lot of what they said has been repeated here ad nauseam (bad 3-point numbers, shot-chucker, turnover prone) but there was a consensus that it was a **** team, Capel was a terrible offensive coach and Lowe was forced to play hero ball. They thought he'd be really good in the right system with the right players.
Who knows. I think taking him over the Princeton kid was definitely the right call though.

I posted in another thread like 37.3 % on FG per game too. I just hope he gets better on both % . I guess we are now out on the Princeton guard.

He shot pretty poor the prior year as well. I guess he onlu has one way to go and that's up in shooting percentages.

I like this add. He has size and aside from the 3pt shooting, he's a pretty solid guard. He was a 35% 3pt shooter his freshman year so he CAN shoot, I think last year might have just been a bad year, on a bad team, with a **** coach.

He is a poor defender and can’t shoot.
His ORtg is 106 (decent) his DRtg is 107 (bad). That means for every 100 possessions he is on the court he loses a team 1 point. That’s awful.

My question then is how in the world does this kid think he can get drafted in the NBA with those PUTRID shooting numbers???!!!!
There is NO WAY an NBA team is going to draft him when he can't shoot the basketball!!!

40% from 3 as a freshman starter last 19 games. 87%ft shooter and great handles. Get's to the lane with ease. Should improve drastically on his shooting numbers under a good coaching staff and with shooters around him. Nice pick up for us. Welcome to UK young man.

Awesome, welcome young man. Let's work on your shot and defense. Definitely room.for improvement but 2 years left. Being in Pope's system, I have faith he will improve his weaknesses and be an asset
Butler led a team to a Final Four and was a defensive player of the year in the Mountain West. He had a pedigree and showed he was worth it.
This kid has big shoes to fill imho
