Did Jalen Berger officially commit to RU? TKR home page has him 100% for RU now. It was like 85/25 RU/State Penn

He is apparently going to commit at the all star game in january
He's going to play in 100% of one team's games and 10% of the other's.
Just to clarify what "100% for RU" means. It means that all the TKR writers and analysts, on the basis of what is currently known, predict he will go to RU. It doesn't mean he is a 100% lock to RU. Each writer could theoretically think he is 51% RU, but if they all predict RU it comes out to 100%. Plus as we all know this close to signing day, things can change by the hour.
It's been suggested he might be a "silent signing" in December, and the school would not announce it until the AA game. That would be a tough secret to keep though.
The math checks out---we play each other so there's an additional 10% in the hopper.

As I re read my post I realized that it sounds as if he is committing to us. I do not know that. I posted earlier that if he wants to come here I would prefer he do it now so as to send a message to other elite types that we are in it and they should join him. But in a response to my post I was told he is making his announcement in January at the all star game. I hope it is us.
It means that 100% of the staff that entered forecasts predicted that it would be RU. Each of those staff that predicted RU might think RU is only the slight favorite in a hotly contested race. Or it could mean that they all thought he was a lock to RU. Either way it would show as a 100% prediction. It sounds it's more like the former.

Yeh!... I don't put much stock into what RUinsider says. He says GS is offering Anthony Camp 7 figure to be our DC. That is total BS. The guy has 8 followers.
No disrespect intended. I have no doubt that you know how percents work. The question is 100% of what? The stat is that 100% of the people making forecasts have forecasted that it will be Rutgers. I think that's reasonably useful information.
Maybe it’s me. I’m a numbers guy. If they all think it’s a slight edge to RU I don’t think 100% should ever be used. Again, that’s just me. To me, 100% to me implies it’s a lock. Of course we all know nothing is a lock until they sign anyway. But that’s a different ball of wax.

I would need to see the original statement by the TKR staff to see how "accurate" it is.
I don't think they all think it's just a slight edge to RU. They get rated based on the % of forecasts they get right. They are highly motivated to get it right. So I doubt they would make predictions based on a slight edge. But they will vote and predict with far less than 100% certainty also.
