Nelson isn't a P4 RB. No vision. An atheletic freak looks good in practice simulations but doesn't mean anything in a game .

Mozee looked great on his first run

Mozee is what I thought he is. Not explosive nor quick enough to be a feature back. Rule and Nelson are clearly better which I already believed to be true.

Against BIG defenses he's gonna struggle so show much imo. Rule needs to develop a stiff arm . Also needs to be a little more shifty in close quarters. When you get one on one in the open field you gotta beat that guy.

Nelson looks the same. Very quick and plenty fast. What I thought before season was Nelson and Rule. But I actually think there is a gap after those two.

Disagree in Nelson. Im not high on Mozee at all. I just don't see any burst, explosion or quicks. When I watched the media showing the little clips during practice they attended I thought the same thing. He's just not fast/quick enough for me.

I don't have much problem with Nelson. He's not as shifty as a guy his size needs to be. He needs to work on that. But I think it's him and Rule and then a huge gap.

good to see Nelson have some success today.. he's elevated his play, at least today.. I still don't like that weird psycho vibe that he gives off on the sidelines, but hope he continues to improve

He’s got legit straight line speed, and as one of three guys, that’s a good quality IMO.

What are the odds that Rule #25 will be on the Husker roster next season?
Looked really good in game 1
Props for finding him and getting him
On the field
Indiana, OSU and SEC teams have a lot of cash
Does he want to play for a .500 team
Hope so

I do like rule. He looks the part. Still knocking Nelson. He can't read a block. He can only hope to get to the outside and we know that doesn't fly in big boy football

Our RBs are so much better than WRs. I think we should run a split backfield and take a wide receiver out.

Looks great in the open field struggles behind the line of scrimmage. Needs to hit the hole like he hits well you know.
He can't read a block or find the gear to be in behind scrimmage. He won't beat defenders to the edge in the B1G like he could at times today. Rule is already better than him at that.

Rule looks special. FINALLY!!! Excited to have what looks like a premier back again. Long season ahead but I am ready to give Barthel a break if Rule is the real deal. The room looks nice.

IMO we started the 3rd best RB. SMH. What I saw today:

1. Rule
----------

2. Nelson
3. Mozee

Since last year? We had to wait a whole bowl game?

Perfectly fine to not start Rule right away. Even Adrian Peterson had to wait 3 or 4 games before Oklahoma let him start his freshman year and the dude should have won the heisman that year. Not saying he’s AP, but even if a true freshman is by far the best back you don’t start him the first game.

Also… was Emmett Johnson last year not a premier back?

Nelson’s run after catch for that long TD was impressive. We have 3 good backs. We’ll see if one of them can be great.
