Nelson’s run after catch for that long TD was impressive. We have 3 good backs. We’ll see if one of them can be great.

Hmmm not sure we have have 3 good backs. I'll wait to see more but right now I'd say nah...

You’re a tough grader. I think Rule has the potential to be great. All 3 have good speed and hands it appears. Rule is a yac machine. A couple of those short yardage runs he did it almost by himself. I don’t see a guy with the kind of wiggle I would like unless it’s Mozee but he clearly hasn’t shown the power Rule has. The one thing I loved yesterday was their ball security in a situation where they were drenched in sweat.

"We" You Iowa fayguts posing as Husker fans are a serious bunch of pathetic losers. Go jerk off on your own board.
He’s either an Iowa troll or a Husker fan with Rhule Derangement Syndrome. I’m not sure which is worse. I’m not a big Rhule fan but I’m rooting for him to win games.

I think many including me are aggressively rooting for the team to win every week. But we’re tired of the same mistakes and coach speak week after week, year after year etc. Coach Rhules grotesque greedy salary squeeze in light of his results last year while complaining about NIL funds just hit me wrong. I still hope he wins- but tough to respect him now.

. Legit analysis isn’t really complaining but 19notreallyahuskerfan19 has gotta be trolling.

he’s no different than any other P4 head coach but we have a limiting booster financial base so he has to publicly beg from the average fan. They all seek to maximize their contracts. We were spoiled by Tom and really Frank too. I could see the logic in letting Frank go but hindsight says it was a horrible financial decision and probably cost us a lot of Ws.

Going to 13.5 holding a fake toy gun to our head about fake Penn state interest and then whining about NIL funds just hits me the wrong way. It doesn’t seem it has any integrity or honor- sleezy- I’m old fashioned I guess. We are stuck with him now thanks to Dannon so of course I’m hoping he does well. Have no choice- turned in my tickets- watching on tv.

Yeah I get it. I’m ambivalent about Rhule. I don’t have to pay the booster club fee or we wouldn’t have season tickets. We share 4 tickets with a family member. The coach salaries and NIL crap nauseates me.

I am a "fair" grader I think lol. I think you tend to grade through a bit of a rose colored lense that I don't possess 😂 (well I have it but I don't use it when grading us). I watch a lot of football and I think most fans just watch a lot of THEIR team. This we have different thoughts. I'm comparing what I see based on other teams as well as my own eyes.

Now he may turn out that way but so far I haven't seen anything that would make me call Mozee a "good" RB. Jamal I can see plenty. Nelson through just the last couple I can see it. Still like to see a bit more shift at his size but I like him. I'd qualify him as pretty good .

Rule has a shot. Nice combo of size, strength and speed. Still growing but like what I see.

I respect that. I just saw things from Mozee at times last year that make me believe he’s a really good fit in Dana’s offense. I thought he showed more ability to make people miss in the open field last year than Nelson. He looks like a good option out of the backfield in passing situations. Obviously not the power that Rule possesses

I was a Rule fan when we signed him and he’s done nothing but reinforce that view. I think he’s potentially the whole package but I like all 3 of our backs. I feel a lot better about these 3 backs than any we’ve had as a group in a long time. IF we had to, I think we could win games with all 3 as the primary back. It’s a luxury to have 3 guys you can run out there and execute consistently. All 3 took some big hits yesterday and hung on to the ball.

Rhule talks a good game, but after a while, it gets tiresome because people start noticing he can’t back up his bravado. Ultimately, he doesn’t really have a grasp on what he needs to do, or, his ego is too big to do what is necessary. He just hopes that he’ll catch lightening in a bottle, and be able to try to squeeze a little more money out of this. His willingness to try to fake like he could go to PSU was insulting to a non-retarded persons intelligence, but, kudos to him and his agent realizing they were dealing with Mr Potato Head as AD. The sooner he is gone, the better. Any success will be in spite of him, not because of him.

Win some games and the money will pour in. People will probably be taking out loans to donate to the program. Most people, like me, are just sick of all these mediocre or bad coaches wasting our donations. Prove you can spend the money you have, and you'll get more.

A LOT of average fans are turned off by the coaching salaries and NIL. I’m not sure how much water is left in the well.

Just hoping he doesn’t go Gabe Ervin and go all muscle, lose flexibility, and become an injury magnet.

Yep
Guys making 100-200k aren’t dipping into their pockets to add to a 13.5 million dollar per year coaches mountains of money or a player making 2.5 or even 200. It’s sickening

And a good many of our “boosters” are making less than that. I guarantee you we have people donating to NIL who make less than 100k/year. We’re a cult.

I have zero data on that. You may very well be right. However with our results- if I was making that much- and the coaches and players making 250x that amount ot even 5x my salary- I’m dipping into my pockets to pay them more? Wow. Seems absurd but maybe thats it and it is the justification for taking the fans for granted and bloating the staff sizes and salaries . Plausible

This goes back a long time, but Jamal Rule's running style reminds me of Jamal Lewis of U of Tennessee and Baltimore Ravens (selected 5th overall in 2000 draft). I believe the Huskers recruited him quite hard but lost out to TN.

Let’s not forget who we played lol.
Let’s not forget how bad we dominated them either. We did what we did. Almost every team in the B1G had a bowling green this week. We dominated and many didn’t. I’ll take our win over Ohio State, Oregon, Iowa, Maryland, USC, Illinois, Michigan state, Rutgers. Hell everyone but Michigan.
