Only two things come to my mind as a reason. One, he committed some grievous action, or two, the James City County School Administration failed to deliver on their promises.

Yeah it is interesting that he resigned after 3 months on the job, but the AD either resigned or was fired and the boys basketball coach is going to another school in the area. Sounds like something is going on out there.
On a side note: I am excited about our new football coach though! He has started a power lifting club before he got the football job, so hopefully he can keep that going and get some more interest out there!
