BullshxxHe also isn’t going anywhere. He’s not been good but he deserves 5 or 6 years and does have a solid recruiting class coming in at this point.

Unless there is an implosion a guy should get 4-5 years at a place like wvu. You have always thrown out the term delusional. There are those who are delusional by always making excuses when criticism is warranted. There are those that are delusional expecting results that just don't happen at wvu all that often.Fair enough but I’ve always been in the camp unless a program implodes a guy that shows anything deserves to coach throughout his first contract. I’d give him an extension with no guarantees so he doesn’t get drilled on recruiting trail. If things don’t change dramatically I’d let him go in year five.

Every coaching situation is different. It took Beamer years to prove something as well as schiano at Rutgers. I wouldn't use meyer as an equal comparison. Its much easier to win in the mac and mwc then it is at a mid level power 5 school. I expected The program to be better shape at this point. In Neal's defense it was also in worse shape then what it appeared when he took over. There are many concerns I have about Brown. His teams have shown problems with discipline. His teams keep making the same stupid mistakes over and over again. I think its fair to be critical of preparation and play calling. unfortunately undisciplined teams are usually not well coached. There are areas where I believe he deserves a little lee way. We have have to see what the team looks like when his players are upper classman. I also am curious as to what changes will be made in the off season. I do believe Lyons will demand changes on the coaching staff like he did when he decided to let Holgorsen continue after 2015. I hope Neal can turn it around. I am not overly bullish on him at this point. If he isn't successful this will be the 3rd consecutive coach since RR left that failed to get the job done. It only makes it harder on the next guy.Brown will definitely get next year and likely year 5, but most coaches that have had consistent success in college football do not have 3 consecutive stagnant seasons. I like the recruiting classes, but I don't see the players we have now being effectively used which makes me concerned WVU will still underperform even with a better roster of players. Like Texas. Good coaches get decent results with meager rosters like Urban Meyer did. Those guys then get elite results when they get good rosters.

Both.Did Brown take over a situation that was worse than you expected or is Brown worse than you expected?
Did you even bother to listen Tony Cardi's take on this? The least amount of nfl talent of any wvu coach in the last 40 years. That's not an opinion its a numerical fact.Did Brown take over a situation that was worse than you expected or is Brown worse than you expected?
Don’t care about NFL talent, care about Big-12 level talent…..and that seems to be an issueDid you even bother to listen Tony Cardi's take on this? The least amount of nfl talent of any wvu coach in the last 40 years. That's not an opinion its a numerical fact.
