I will be the first to admit that I have been skeptical of her coaching abilities. Substitution patterns and clock/ game management are my main concerns. But you sure as hell cannot argue her results. This team has been a joy to watch and I am very hopeful for the future. We are a very young team and if we keep this under class in tact we will be a force in the BIG for years to come. The sold out crowds and the residual affect of CC are appealing to younger players and I expect recruiting to stay at a higher level.
So kudos to JJ from a former doubter.

If we win against Wisky Sunday, we'll (almost undoubtedly) end the season with seven losses. Hopefully, we make it to the conference tourney finals and deep in March Madness for our last two losses. With Caitlin Clark, Iowa only had one season with fewer than seven losses. Fire Jan.

DISCLAIMER: I often don't know what I am talking about. I feel right at home on this forum.

I'm hoping for a sweet 16. I was predicting a top 25 finish to start the year.

Jan has done a good job with this team. She has a true all American player in AH and an experienced warrior in HS.

The issue or challenge with Jan will be whether she can recruit and coach perimeter and wing players to the level that elevates Iowa into a true national contender.

She wants to pound the post cause that’s her background and she’s recruited that way. But she MUST recruit and figure out how to use perimeter and wing talent if she wants to elevate. Being a blue collar blue blood (her phrase) is great. But man would be nice to see a fast break or some innovative sets for permiter players at times.
