Did he get hurt against Purdue? Did he play today at all? He had a couple good runs last week and then he was just gone.
Isn't Yant averaging around 5 ypc? Unless he was hurt, it's dumb to not give him some more carries. On a related note, I wonder why the direct snap to a RB isn't utilized more often. Also, I wish we would score more touchdowns. That would be nice.He had a couple good runs in the first half last week, then ran the wrong damn way on his carries in the second half. Because this coaching staff is a complete shitshow when it comes to consistent accountability measures, he was benched for the rest of that game. Not sure why his action was limited today, but probably because he's struggling with the playbook in practice etc etc. and then is kind of unpredictable on the field in games outside of Northwestern.

Actually, 8 yards a carry or close to it. Frost didn't play him. Doesn't fit his mold. Scotty has a plan. Apparently, the dumb-*** is to stubborn to realize that it is not working.Isn't Yant averaging around 5 ypc? Unless he was hurt, it's dumb to not give him some more carries. How do you know it wasn't Martinez running into him?Because, two of the hallmarks of this staff is they like to move on from something that works to something that doesn't work and also, they play favorites. When we were in the shadow of our goal line Ramir screwed up his running lane and ran into Martinez before getting the ball. The play lost a yard or two and made the punt from the EZ more difficult. I didn't notice him getting benched for the rest of the game.
He averaged nearly 10 ypc against Northwestern, and exactly 10 against Purdue, but 51 of his 60 yards against pee-yew were on 2 carries, otherwise he had 4 for 9 yards and left some yards on the field by running right at a pile instead of a crease. Minnesota he had 6 for 24 yds and tripped and fell down on 4th and goal (dumb playcall/formation notwithstanding). He also averaged 14 ypc against Michigan because he only got one carry. I thought I had also heard somewhere his ball security in practice wasn't great but I might be wrong. But I would agree with everyone puzzled why Yant is getting more time in the doghouse than others doing their own brand of dumb stuff. A formation with both he and Johnson would have been potentially interesting but no. Personnel management has been weird for 4 years.Isn't Yant averaging around 5 ypc? I don't, but will go way out on a limb and say if it comes to a 4th year QB who has probably run the play a 1000 times and a frosh RB, it was probably the RB who took the wrong cut.How do you know it wasn't Martinez running into him?
The magic 8 ball that decides who plays at running back decided it was his turn. Also, Stepp hasn’t played a snap and then in the 4th quarter they bring him in against one of the best teams in the country. Explain that one to me please...
Agree.Good coaches find a way to get talent on the field and hold them accountable. It is just not happening with this staff.
Just seems crazy. I know I'm in the minority but I really thought Morrison should have been getting more snaps. I thought he looked good on the 2 or 3 runs he got when he came in games earlier in the season. Now I haven't seen him for a few games. Don't know if he is in the dog house or being nursed back slowly from injury? The magic 8 ball that decides who plays at running back decided it was his turn.
I believe frost must really emphasize practices and how the players practice that why you See walkons playing instead of betts and Manning, I believe he put way to much stock in who gets to play, thank goodness frost wasn’t the coach when mike rozier was playing because mike would have never played, even coach Osborne said mike hated to practiceIt’s actually more like 7 YPC. But still can’t get on the field for a 3-7 team. Makes sense.
I wondered this too. I “heard“ that Rahmir had a possible concussion and Sevion was also hurt. Who knows for sure though? It’s just another head scratcherAlso, Stepp hasn’t played a snap and then in the 4th quarter they bring him in against one of the best teams in the country. Explain that one to me please...
Frost said Morrison missed practice for family reasons.Agree.

i give it even odds with our "exciting" qbI don't, but will go way out on a limb and say if it comes to a 4th year QB who has probably run the play a 1000 times and a frosh RB, it was probably the RB who took the wrong cut.
He played at least one snap - an option keeper There may have been a couple of others.
I hate to burst your bubble, but no football scholars are ever going to be spending time looking at this team, for the same reason nobody is analyzing the 1980 Minnesota Gophers or the 2003 Iowa State team.Football scholars will wonder about our RB rotation years from now
I don't know about that artguy. I heard someone is writing a football book entitled, "Anatomy of a hopeless football program."I hate to burst your bubble, but no football scholars are ever going to be spending time looking at this team, for the same reason nobody is analyzing the 1980 Minnesota Gophers or the 2003 Iowa State team.
