Here is a guy that would have started and played for 4 years in years past.. But the talent upgrade at db is hard to believe..

There's always transfer casualties in summer camp. Sorry to see Tucker leave, but I guess he saw himself buried on the depth chart. For his own sake, he's giving himself plenty of time to scout out other programs instead of waiting till the bitter end of fall camp.

I was surprised this didn't happen at the end of spring ball. I don't want to speculate on others out of respect but there are a few more I can easily see leaving because of playing time.

Right, and Stamps from JC and McWilson, a four star both from the 13 class and Randolph, West, and Edwards, all four stars rated higher than him in his class really make a big point for your argument. LOT of DB talent he was competing with, and a lot more added since then, two of them rated lower than him but major surprises starting in front of some of our four stars, although all will get a lot of action.
Stoops praised him for being a solid guy and said it was just an understandable matter of him wanting playing time. Good luck to him. The DB competition is tough. Real talent that is still young.
Well I should've been more specific. We have lost like half the class it seems in two years so that is disappointing. It's hard to build quality depth when so many guys leave.
He could have added cushion that allowed us to redshirt both Griffin and Robinson. Still possible, but a little thinner back there.
It's always a good sign when some decent players decide to transfer for better playing time. That means our talent level is improving. I wish this kid luck wherever he goes. I'm confident we will replace the kid with a even better talent. No disrespect to the kid.
Our freshmen and sophs are pretty darn good. Tucker will play someplace, but we have guys who may be playing in the League in a few years.
I think you are still exaggerating a bit. There were 28 recruits in the class and I think we are missing eleven. But only ONE of those that left was without a very good reason, and nothing with being run off by the coaches or something reflecting badly on our program.
The ONE was Krok, could be a big loss, but his choice, the grass is greener?
Tubman, lost to the politically correct and excessive UK standards, JMO, would be a big star at Transfer U, Thug U, or ALMOST ANY other University that makes millions and millions from football. Still bugs me that they kicked him out in a VERY shady case against him. Yes, the UK faculty (in many cases) is jealous of sports (rightly so IMO, but that is another story), proven by turning down LOANING football the money for the scoreboards SOME of the millions and millions football has given it over the years.

TV and Snodgrass------both three stars that were very good players, just not up to the other four stars AND underrted players we have at the position, one of the commentators on the SEC Network said he though we had the best WR corp in the SEC East-----very possible. And we have some outstanding talent coming up.
Flannigan, not sure what happened, was he a JC also?
The player of interest here, Tucker, our best position probably, several four stars will be on the bench at any time and better three stars playing, with a lot of talent coming up again. A win win for him to transfer if he wants to play a lot.
Larrubio, not sure what happened, another three star but a lot of young talent on the OL also with more coming in, and he just seemed to disappear.
D. Hendris, again not sure what happened, seemed like a good three star candidate, but there are a million reasons for wanting a change, and football isn't the biggest in a lot of cases.
N. Richardson, a four star, but from what I understand his family has money and he didn't need to spend half his life in a weight room AND risking permanent injury, but I think he went closer to home to be with the love of his life and maybe still plays. A good enough reason to me.
Not a bad attrition situation at all to me, although 11 out of 28, and a win win in most cases.
Now Joker did a marvelous job his first year at the last minute adding three 5.7s to our one, Sanders, AND our only four star. But NONE of the four did diddley here, and the attrition for the rest of the class was terrible also. And then things went to hell, largely to ten years of milking the program dry.
The 17 left (a good percentage for most classes) have already or are going to make some very big contributions this year AND the next two years even though our talent level is steadily rising.
