Love it, we need this dual threat QB. Stephen Johnson has shown the benefits of a QB than can throw and run.
Plus he will have the benefit of being a 4-5 year player, who will be in top physical condition, and hopefully be under the direction of Coach Hinshaw and Coach Gran.

This kid blew up this season after he committed to UK. There are lots of schools coming after him who assume he will be easy to flip from UK. UGA will likely offer soon as they lost out on Trevor Lawrence. He needs to feel lots of love from the BBN.

Not real sure what rivals criteria is. Let's go threw areas of concern. Size 6"3 215 check offers fsu Colorado UK Louisville South car Miami Houston check stats 2500 64 percent 20+ td 2 int check. He did all this playing for a awful team. How this kid is not too 5 at his position is beyond me.

Also had one of the analysts that covers UGA tell me that Williams was too good for UK. Same thing one of the Florida analysts told me about Mac Jones last year...

Screw the Deep South analysts and their opinions of UK football. They just promote the status quo to serve their local interests.

We need to keep promoting ourselves as the place where the Midwest plays SEC football until the old elites of both B10 and SEC are crying over it.

Funny because I call things how I see them and UK looked like the more talented team against Georgia. I will be putting a nice amount on UK against the dawgs next year

Georgia was superior on the DL but that will not be the case in the next two years. We will have a stout DL.

DA, Screw the analysts, NO player is to good for UK. The question should be, "Is UK to good for some of the players that are going to Georgia." We are not the UK of Joker's era.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

What about Danny Clark and Hoak? Is Williams good enough to start as a Freshman or will these guys hold him off a couple of years?

I would prefer Williams redshirt. I believe he has the talent to start as a redshirt freshman. Barring injuries or other unforeseen factors he has all of the talent to be a star at Kentucky and one of the best QB's in the class. I think he is our "prize" this recruiting season.

Williams is 2018 right? Assuming Clark redshirts there will only be one year between them or none if Williams doesn't redshirt. Interesting to see how it plays out.

Sadly, I think it's going to be extraordinarily difficult for UK to hold onto Williams...

This analyst needs to wake up. We are no longer a bottom feeder. We are on our way up. Go Cats!!

This is disappointing and I am praying it does not play out like that. The Gwinnette County area is a hotbed of football talent. They produce 4 and 5 stars out the wazoo. I sure would like to bring him to Lexington and see him become a star of stars. His success at UK could only help us in future recruiting of that area.

Who the hell is UGA? They were 4-4 in the SEC and 7-5 overall, just like us! We are trending up and they are, if anything, trending down. Yes, they did beat us but that could easily of been the other way and probably should have. The gap between us and UGA is closed.

Georgia is about to sign their best class ever and isnreturninf everyone.

To say they are trending downward isn't true at all.

I agree, and am happy for Grumpy, but bad news for us. I think we have a very good chance next year though, and like I have said several times, if Stoops could bring in the 14 class off his own two win season I can't wait until we start winning. We are already starting to see that effect, next year could be another giant step forward.

Suit yourself but at 7-5 this season after going 10-3 last year I think I have a solid case. And no disrespect intended to Grumpy whom I love to read his posts.

UGA will be a hurdle we must leap and they will allways be one of the teams projected to win the east that is just the way it is. That being said we will be a contender going forward as well!

I agree, hope we sign a top 10 QB every year. Just know there will be attrition, see Bama, A&M, etc.

No one should get upset especially if we finally get to where our depth has quality players there. Too many years now when we would lose a starter at a position and can't bring up a player that is talented enough to fill the spot. Johnson might be the first in years to do it.

We just got back to a bowl and we are now world beaters! We are even better than the teams that we haven't beaten for years!
