Good to see he stayed loyal to Pope and honored his commitment to coach for the University of Kentucky. Unlike that one position coach in Football, forgetting his name off the top of my head but went to the Eagles a few years back IIRC.

He may not stay long because he may be highly sought after, but if that happens I trust Pope to bring in just as capable assistants.
He has been paying benefits to the recruiting side that is for sure.
Hopefully he just prefers the college game and stays until he gets a good D1 HC offer.

That’s when you know you have it cooking. Pope assembled one helluva a coaching staff to have NBA coming after coaches and the staff hadn’t even coached a game yet as a unit!
Well, I can tell you one name that won’t be mentioned by the Pros thinking about taking a NBA job…

Probably the Pistons with the restructuring being orchestrated by Trajan Langdon. I could see that Dukie trying to snipe a recruiter away from UK. Hart was also a player for the Bobcats while Bickerstaff was an assistant coach for his dad.
Hopefully he is here long enough to bring us Jason Crowe Jr from the west coast .

I'm really NOT into recruiting, but in watching that one (and realizing that hightplay reels never tell the full story), the kid HAS GAME. Silky smooth shot release.
He’s a scoring machine, good passer too. Reminds me more of a combo guard than a PG but maybe his team needs him to score because the game I shared he had the ball all game.
His long range shot is more of a push shot than a jumpshot. Not sure I have seen anybody succeeded in college with that kind of release.
Yeah I posted that game from this year. He looks good. I haven’t looked into this class much but I am glad you showed him. I hope we snag him.

Kid is from California, is a left handed PG and wears #5… wonder who his favorite player is. That should help also.
The 2026 class is nuts. 5 of the top 6 players in the class on 24/7’s composite rankings are all from California and play within an hour of each other. Trevor Ariza’s kid and Gilbert Arenas’ kid are part of those 5. I’d love to get Tyran Stokes the most from that class. Hes built like an nfl tight end but he’s skilled.

Watch the clip of him vs AJ that was posted after the first clip. He doesn’t push anymore. He probably only did it as a freshman because he lacked strength.
I can't get over high school games being played on NBA courts. Really cool to see though.
