There's not a single Cal guard I would put below Jasper and that includes Boston, Quade and even Jamarl Baker.
JJ may have more overall skill than Baker but in games that matter, he hasn't contributed anymore than JB did .

Because of the almighty high school ranking. I can’t imagine Pope watched the film and thought I gotta get all over this. This guy is perfect for my system. If he did, it’s not a good thing. There was pressure from the fans especially early on to get the high-rated Kentucky boy. Jasper should get zero minutes per game at point guard. If he was able to be an off ball player, we could play to his strengths but we can’t. We should be starting Lowe, Oweh, Williams, Mo, JQ and Moreno as sixth man. That group should be playing so much it makes them vomit on the court. Everyone else we are plugging into the game are hurting more than helping atm.

Yes. Acaden Lewis. And then Pope signed another guard in the portal and he left.

Seems to just be floating around out there. Probably habits formed from time spent in AAU and whatever prep program he was in. Watching him this year, my thoughts are he either doesn’t know how to play hard or he doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing. I’m rooting for him to get it, but he doesn’t need to play till he does.

They all come in now from AAU with terrible habits.
