Right after they merge Mt Carmel and St Rita
The archdiocese (of Chicago) has no jurisdiction over either of those two schools. So the answer is no.
If you are referring to the Diocese of Joliet, then that's different.
Lol! I laugh because before this was even sent out, I was thinking what if SR/MC actually merged and what would the "new" name be? St. Carmel of Cascia? Mt. Carmrita?
They'd be called State Champions!
MC is going to have a whole new look this year and I'm livid we aren't playing! Real question, school colors? I'm thinking Red, Brown and white would be the lesser of the eye sores!
Can anyone out there put JC, MC and COM home jerseys next to each other? I think those are 3 distinct shades.
Let's see of the Chicago Board of Elections can add it to the ballot as a referendum.

Would you really want this unreliable, venal, incompetent, lazy, often treacherous group of licensed bandits making such an important decision? If this corrupt instrument of political order had its way, SR's uniforms would have Rahm Emanuel's name adorned all over the jerseys to promote his re-election campaign.
If, however, the decision was left entirely to me, I would prefer the Saint Rita's sartorial style be switched to red jerseys and white pants for home play and away uniforms all white with red piping.
I loved the all white road uniforms back in the day. Wished they bring that one back.

I like the all whites and white helmets with red lettering for one and all blue with blue helmets and red lettering with white outline for the others. Too many options. The kids do look good thou. But it’s what’s in the uniforms that counts. They took the jerseys from the 63 championship team out of mothballs for us to wear in the late 60's. We didn’t play any better or worse than with our own jersey’s so they (the 63 jerseys) went back into mothballs. I cant’ imagine having two helmets. My mom sewed the heck out of the game jersey to finish the year.
Looking forward to the fall. Lower levels looked good the last season.
