Here is my major concern with JCA. First, I am thrilled for the kids whom are going on to the next level to play and hopefully excel in the classroom as well. (much more important for their future)
However, how truly sad it is that for all the football scholarships for JCA kids since 2008, they have ZERO championships! ZERO!! Add Malin Jones, Josh Ferguson, Isaac and so many others to the list in those 8 years and it's a damn shame. As much or more talent than needed to bring home at least 1 title in that time!! And, I'm afraid the new tradition of bowing out early in the playoffs is what we will now always expect.

They win the title this year if they beat Naz. Sucks that game was a quarterfinal but it was the title whenever it happened. Every year there is gonna be that one playoff game against an equal opponent that is truly a tossup. JCA didn't win that tossup this year, it happens, every other team in 5a got manhandled by Naz, it would have been the same if JCA won. Each team is different and I wouldn't say this JCA version of players or coaches choked they just got beat on that day by a team that was their equal. Maybe JCA wins that game 4 out of 10 times, maybe they win 7 out of 10 but on that day Naz was better, it happens.

Since 2008, JCA has appeared in 2 championships, 2 semi-final games and 2 Quarterfinal games. Quite a tradition of bowing out early. In many of those years, most people would argue that JCA has been the second best team in the class.

Lol that's not what he's saying, love the entitlement you have though. It's correct that JCA hasn't won the big one but they've still been a tremendous program over that time period, a program 99% of people envy.

Class 5A to me has been the toughest class in the playoffs the last 7-8 years. It has had so many great teams in that bracket.

JCA has had a great program, but the others have caught up and surpassed in recent years. My point continues to be JCA has had ample opportunities and some of them should have been converted to titles.

There will always be dry spells, every program has them. You make it seem like JCA has been in some dramatic drought but what I'm saying is that the program hasn't really gone anywhere, still a top program right now.
