JCA dominates to a running clock 48-7 lead with a 5 or so minutes left in Q3. Then the Cougars go crazy and score 22 points against the JCA reserves by recovering back to back on-side kicks (3 it total in the game). JCA finally got the ball back with 2 minutes to go and had the ball at the VH 10 and could have scored, but took a knee. Credit to the Cougars for coming back and JCA letting the reserves get some playoff action. JCA needs to work on those onsiders for sure!

I'm so torn on what I would do if I was a coach in the vh situation. Play seniors, let the starters play to their very end, or get all the kids in.

I agree JCH. And Sharpie did the right thing in pulling our guys early. If he had not, the fans would have toasted him for keeping people in whom could get injured. And, if just one of those onside kicks gets recovered by JCA, it ends up a 30 point game.
I was really happy there were no personal fouls by JCA and I think that is the first game all season for that!

Exactly. Thought it was classy of him for his time not to do another on-side toward the end. Met some of the VH folks prior to the game at McBrides. Really nice people and were very impressed with the hospitality of us Hilltopper folks and they were looking forward to seeing Joliet Memorial.

Great atmophere for our kids to play in last night in Joliet. Great people, I had never been to a JCA game definately a great experience. JCA kids were awesome, high morals and character. Was impressed with level of respect they showed our kids after the game. Heard about the tradition it was neat to see it first hand. We did put in all the seniors in last night at 48-7 that was a priority of the staff. Good luck the rest of the way, all the best to JCA and Coach Sharp.
