I cannot verify the accuracy of this story.

From the JCA Twitter Site.

"DJ Hamiti will be representing Team Illinois at 145lbs for a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP tomorrow at 1:30pm in Fargo, North Dakota! He’s made his way to the finals in dominating fashion."

DJ Hamiti is JCA's sophomore wrestler who won the State Championship earlier this year @ 2A 126 lbs.

Found out Dean (DJ) won the championship match by pin fall. It kind of looked that way from the 2nd picture above, but I wasn't sure.

Well I know somebody that's going to be getting a lot of respect during his junior & senior year in wrestling. He will also have many good wrestlers taking their absolute best shots at him over the next 2 years.

Is the wrestling culture at JCA changing? When I was in school they were pretty weak. I haven't paid too much attention since the expansion to 3 classes, but I imagine that that would help them. Although from what I have seen 2a is still pretty dang tough.

I have no doubt Hamiti will be a multiple AA. He is unreal to watch on the mat. Remember his name because you will hear it at the NCAA finals

It has changed drastically. New coaching staff that is drawing a lot of the good Junior High club wrestlers to it. They have been pretty much had a roster of Fresh and Soph the last two years. I expect them to make a considerable jump up this upcoming season
