There was a time when this would be THE marquee matchup based off name alone. I remember going to this game in the late 2000's at Memorial. It is still one of the best matchups this weekend. How do we see it going?
So is JCA D, so we looking at a 10-7 type game?WWS has talent and they have been steadily improving but when you are starting 16 juniors you never know what you are going to get? Their defense is good enough to keep them in games.
Yeah a score in the teens is what it looks like to me.So is JCA D, so we looking at a 10-7 type game?
JC was shut out 6-0 last week. But from what I could see from a pretty clear stream, their RB, #23 is real good. QB has size and a good arm. Receivers got open a lot. #4 I think, must have had seven or eight catches, so the can and do throw the ballIf the Joliet offense plays like they did last week, it'll be a tough path to victory for my Tigers![]()

Oops! Keep forgetting about “opening round”. Anyway, from what I saw, I agree. JCA has weapons on O2 weeks ago?
Last week JCA 44 Bradley 3
There's also a distinct possibility that we just get outcoached, which seems to be the case in all of our losses this year... especially to Geneva & Batavia.Oops! Keep forgetting about “opening round”. Anyway, from what I saw, I agree. JCA has weapons on O
If you score 10 points you probably win. There's also a distinct possibility that we just get outcoached, which seems to be the case in all of our losses this year... especially to Geneva & Batavia.
We just can't finish when it counts.
Saw a number of WWS coaches at the Bradley/JCA game. There were a number WWS players there too. I thought that was a bit old school and kinda cool. Tells me the coaches and players are invested and willing to put in the time to win. There's also a distinct possibility that we just get outcoached, which seems to be the case in all of our losses this year... especially to Geneva & Batavia.

Should have been MC @USD24. Read about this game! Glad I found it You Tube a few years ago. Classic game as advertised. What ever happened to Matt Larsen did he play somewhere in College? St. Francis? I did unfortunately read WWS Phil Adler passed away some years back. Two old school runners right there!
They did. JCA guys, who is freshman #23? How long has he been playing varsity? He is very good. Tell us moreJCA had some great RBs on the freshman team that should be brought up
If you’re referring to the number 23 on the varsity squad, he is a soph. Shown some nice flashes and improved a good amount this season. Has gained the trust of the play callers and taken on a larger role the second half of the season. They did. JCA guys, who is freshman #23? How long has he been playing varsity? He is very good. The freshman FB has deep roots at JCA. Dad coaches the Dline. Mom is the softball coach. Grandfather was the FB on the 1978 championship team.JCA had some great RBs on the freshman team that should be brought up
Scott Kinsella or John Querio? The freshman FB has deep roots at JCA. Dad coaches the Dline. Mom is the softball coach. Grandfather was the FB on the 1978 championship team.
"Gannon the Cannon" KinsellaScott Kinsella or John Querio?
In the 1978 4A Championship Game (when it was just 1A-5A), Scott logged what was a record 82-yard rushing TD that stood as a 4A record for 30 or so years!"Gannon the Cannon" Kinsella
Scott broke it for 81, not 82 yards. It happened in Q3 and his Grammar School & High School classmate #72 cleared the way for him. Before he became known as # 57 opening holes for Walter Payton, the radio voice of the Bears took care of things at home.In the 1978 4A Championship Game (when it was just 1A-5A), Scott logged what was a record 82-yard rushing TD that stood as a 4A record for 30 or so years!
A great man, a great family and a legacy that lives onward!
