I did not realize just how many key players were out of action for the Naz game till I read the board. Can you tell me if they are gone foe the season or will most of them be back for the playoffs. Thanks.

As a non-parent, I don't know the answer...however as a long time fan of JCA, it is remarkable what they are accomplishing with so many injuries. Looks like 5 starters out, but hoping they start to come back. It will not easy against the likes of Benet and Marist over the next two weeks.

Secondo,

If you don't running clock Benet I'll be shocked. The Oline and the speed of your backs will be a true struggle for Benet. Marist is always a ? This is a very good JCA game good luck the rest of the way!

Seems to be the same story year in and year out with JCA I think they should address their strength and conditioning coach. They always seem to have the most injuries of any team I can think of.

Your concern is touching.

I wouldn't say I see any more injuries out of JC kids. Some years they lose 4-5 starters for decent stretches of time. Other years they go the whole season and don't lose any starters. The last 5 or so years the average may have been closer to the 4-5 kids, but the 10-15 years prior to that the average was probably 1 major contributor a season. Same strength and conditioning coach. In fact, he's probably the best in the state with how he transforms young boys into incredibly strong men.

Any word on the status of Krisch? If he and Davis can be back by the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs at near 100%, that would be scary for the rest of 5A. Hoping the others are back soon as well.

Jchill,

Couldn't agree with you more in how those boys turn into men because of Rudy's gym. Being a CoM guy, I just wish CoM had the same dedication as JCA when it comes to getting their players ready for the season. Friday's game was evident of that as Benet just manhandled the CoM o line.

Link below if from an article in Chicago football mag about rudys gym and JCA

Has the penalty on the last play of the first half been discussed?

Or their injuries get discussed more on this board because its JCA? I don't hear many people discussing injjuires at Maine West, Barrington, Glenbard East, Rockford Guilford, etc. I would imagine that a lot of schools have 4-5 starters out by week 8 of the season. I would think that if JCA had a S&C issue they would find a new coach pretty quickly.

I would imagine your post is mainly sarcasm.

A HUGE part of JCA's success is directly related to their strength and conditioning coach (Francis Ruettiger) 20+ time Powerlifting champ AND a member of the National Fitness Hall of Fame. I hope you are joking (they should address their strength and conditioning coach).....
