Somebody tweeted Wills with a pro UK message and he retweeted it. That article from a Bama sportswriter last week said UK is still recruiting him hard. I'm not holding my breath, but it's not over till the fat lady sings.[winking]

You'll know we've arrived the day we get to flip one from Bama! Holy hell wouldn't that be something?!?! It's not as far fetched today as it was this time last year and definitely not 4-5 years ago. I woulda ished in my pants laughing then. I'm with you though. I think it can happen with this kid. I wouldn't be as surprised as some though. Not anymore.

If he winds up at Bama as most expect, he could get homesick and come back to Lexington. Always a good idea to keep a good relationship with your recruits.

One would like to think that Saban's hard push for Trey Smith told him something. Stoops hinted that they would not give up (don't flinch), but this seems a long shot.

A long shot is better than no shot. A big improvement to have some of our fans thinking that we have any shot, whether we do or not. There ARE some valid reasons for him to at least consider us now, pretty close to none before, look at the praise our OL has been getting lately.

How many Alabama commits are out visiting other programs? I figure the coaches at Alabama take the "If you're looking, then I'm looking" approach.

Quite a few, and it's pretty nerve-wracking. As we speak, we have 3 5-star commits (depending on the site) who are visiting Florida, LSU, and Miami respectively. The ones visiting LSU and Miami can realistically be flipped because of pressure from family members. I'm not worried about the one visiting Florida because Michigan is really the only school that could flip him. Unless Harbaugh wants to show how desperate he is by looking like a complete idiot and climbing a tree with him in his backyard, like he did with a recruit last year, I like our chances.

So to kind of go back to the poster's other comment, what is Bama's general attitude here? Do they allow it and hold their spot or is there some tipping point where you offer their spot to someone else and give it to whoever firnly takes it first?

I doubt there's much chance to flip him but if he has a open mind anything is possible. How great would it be to have Wills, Jackson, and Young anchoring UK's offensive line? Benny Snell could break some records behind that front.

Bama's general attitude here, is to pull kids into Saban's office at camps or during officials, say "You have an offer for the next 15 minutes, you can accept it or we will move on". But that is early in the process. There aren't like players to substitute in. They can tell Mac Jones commit now or we'll take someone else, they can tell Michael Custis "commit now or lose your offer." and then later take his offer away anyways, but they can't do ish now with 5 star kids looking around and taking visits. They've got some good looking OT's committed. They won't cut them for visiting and leave themselves with nothing, and they won't only recruit the few elite OT's left out of spite, they're recruiting them anyways.

They'll move Wills to OG anyways, so the OT's shouldn't play any role on him, but if he loses his spot at Bama it's going to be because they land Sarrell or Isaiah Wilson, not because he visited the facilities at UK.

Custis started having second thoughts when we landed Kendall Sheffield out of nowhere at the UA game. Cecil Hurt even mentioned that Saban was very surprised. Nearly everyone and their mother was saying that Minkah Fitzpatrick was going to flip to FSU because of his relationship with their DC, but a few days before NSD, Fitzpatrick said he would stick with Bama. I also heard that we wanted Custis as a Safety pretty late in the game because we were thin at the position. UGA flipped one of our top Safety commits and we moved Geno Smith from corner and were experimenting with Tony Brown.

Sarrell isn't leaving the NW, and Isaiah Wilson is trending to Michigan. Word is that Harbaugh is going to have a sleepover at his house.

Stay home Jedrick and be a rock star!!!!!
We are seeing a last gasp from posters desperately hoping against hope for Jedrick Wills and Mac Jones to decommit from Alabama. This isn't going to happen. Why not be excited about the players who want to play for Kentucky? Why not post about Danny Clark, Javonte Richardson, Bryant Koback Tyrell Ajian, Naasir Watkins? Instead of Wills, why not talk about Jordan Wright, Danny Davis, Thayer Munford, Josh Paschal?
