Ryan Noel (KU) is one of the more knowledgeable crystal ballers. He just picked Duke for Bolden.
Cal visiting Bolden yesterday could be good for UK (seal the deal) or good for us (Cal worried he's leaning Duke).
May or may not come to Duke but definitely feels like things are still in play with Bolden.

You could be right, but not 'everyone knows it.' A few days ago Ben Roberts (who wrote that article and is more plugged into UK recruiting than almost anyone) said the below:

Yeah, I'd bet on UK if I had to, but since Ben would have a better idea about Bolden than anyone on this board, I'm considering Duke to still have a shot until I hear otherwise.

Marques could still come to Duke. I remember last year Jamal Murray was a lock on crystal ball to play at the University of Oregon. There were even tweets stating that Murray had committed to Oregon and we all know where he ended up going. According to Crystal Ball Ben Simmons was a lock to come to Duke and he ended up going to LSU. Coach K is the last person Bolden will be talking to before making a decision I believe. Hopefully Coach K can seal the deal with him.
Anyone saying Ben Simmons was a lock to Duke needs new sources and a new crystal ball. He was always going to lsu due to his godfather being there. I don't even think we were recruiting him at all. It was a here's a scholarship would love to have you but that's as much effort as we will put into it.
That's what I'm trying to say about the crystal ball predictions. Crystal ball had 75% Duke and LSU 25%. They made it seem like Duke was lock and key to get him. Crystal ball predictions not always accurate is all I'm saying.

In retrospect, it won't matter in terms of draft position, but his overall image and brand would've been much stronger at Duke. Maybe we miss on Ingram too. Imagine your own image of Ingram as a Tarheel... I don't think I would have liked him that much. It's funny how those uniforms do that to our perceptions.
Another hypothetical: what if we missed on Winslow? Let's say that was enough to keep us out the FF last year. What is the national perception of Duke at the moment? Does Tyus end up staying? So many interesting scenarios.
Apparently the reason why Adam Rowe switched his Bolden pick is because someone is leaving Duke. The specifics are behind a paywall, but the speculation is Thorton. Why that makes Bolden more likely isn't clear to me.

Someone catching up in predictions
Not sure how I feel about this if it's true that DT is leaving. I like DT a lot and I know he made mistakes this year but I can definitely see him bounce back and have a huge impact on this team next year. Plus it's just a little puzzling as to why he would want to leave, he was playing a lot (26 minutes a game).
But why is this news posted on a Louisville board? I haven't read anything yet on the transfer
That's the one thing I don't understand. You would think news on DT would first be heard on a Duke board. Possibly looking into it, but DT was down between UL and Duke before choosing Duke. It's one of those I'll believe it when I see it, but I'd be lying if I wasn't nervous

I am still puzzled as to why Thornton would transfer. Maybe Allen is coming back and the competition with Allen and Frank might leave Thornton not a lot of playing time. Just my guess though.

After the Jamaal Murray to Oregon stampede last year, I'm skeptical about the Crystal Ball trends, but at least the trend is going our way atm.
Re: DT, it sucks if he's transferring, especially because him moving up a year was to help us. Strictly from a team perspective, if Grayson stays I'm pretty comfortable that Frank Jackson - even as a combo guard - can man the point. But I'd expect the staff to refocus on a 2017 PG.

Finally some great news! I'm tired of hearing from all the duke guys on here that we have ZERO chance to land him. Bolden has to realize he can come in and play immediately vs just being another big at UK.
It might not all be great news. There could be some things happening behind the scenes that no one could have envisioned.
