Question? I know there was some talk on here a few years back about Sabre stadium getting an upgrade. Has any of this taken place or was it just some talk to quiet the Salem people before that big game?

It was a legitimate plan, they have prototypes and everything. However, there was a stall in getting the financial support (best of my knowledge - could be wrong on the why* it has not happened yet)
They way I heard it they wanted to update the track first. Which was pretty expensive. The stadium update is coming soon. It's a very nice stadium. The walk up to the parking lot is rough for some people so they use golf carts to help those who need it.
The track was part of upgrades at all 3 Bedford county HS's. All the tracks are done now. it's been over a decade since Bedford county could host a track meet, thats how bad the tracks were.
The bleacher upgrade is still in the plans. Like with the turf, weight room and field house renovations, only private donations are being used. The county will not pay anything. As soon as the money is raised it will be done. Other exciting upgrades are also in the works....
