Sad news. Word is Val was a massive jerk on set. Most people refused to work with him a second time. But he was still one of my all-time favorites due to Iceman, Doc, and Batman with nipples.

Tremendous actor. Amazing what cancer did to him. I actually figured cancer was going to kill him sooner than later but he was actually cancer free and pneumonia got him. Sad.

One of the great moments in cinema history when he appeared in Top Gun Maverick after many years away from the screen. In fact, Kilmer had many great moments.

Been busy the last week so couldn't comment when it happened, I now need to go watch Tombstone again(loved his portrayal of Doc Holliday in there)

Also this board needs to settle a debate that has been going on with Kilmer's portrayal of Doc Holliday for years, and the question to be answered is this.

I'm your:
A) Huckleberry.
B) Hucklebearer.

A. Val Kilmer said "huckleberry" in the film, that's how it was written in the screenplay http://dailyscript.com/scripts/tombstone.pdf, as well as in the book the screenplay was based on. Nothing to debate, really.

"There, now we can be friends again. But remember, Ed. Friendship is trust—so please don’t hurt me."

I just realized I need to watch Wyatt Earp again too, being that Gene Hackman died not too long ago too.

Actually, the answer is both. The line was supposed to be Huckle Bearer. A huckle is a handle on a casket. Makes since in that instance where is tells Johnny that he will carry him in his coffin after he dispenses of him. But Kilmore said Huckleberry and the just stuck with it.

I was a big fan of Val too. Tombstone is one of my favorite movies along with The Doors.
