Because discussing yesterday’s game is too annoying, there is some Justin Jackson news to share. At least for today’s game he has been promoted to the Lions active roster apparently because their starting RB is questionable to to an ankle injury

He’s the #4 RB and D’Andre Swift, the injured guy, has been limited but awesome. The other two RBs have seen carries as of the midpoint of the second quarter.

JJTBC was in on kick return, and watched a touchback. A different player was back for the actual return after a safety.

The Lions are leading 21-0.

Their OC is Ben Johnson. Weird because I thought he was playing goalie for the NU soccer team this fall.

It looks like JJTBC had a 33 yard kickoff return but didn’t have any carries or catches yet.

Yes. JJTBC caught it in the end zone and ran it out to the 30. He must have been 3 yards deep behind the goal line, as they awarded him 33 yards on that return. Wonder when they started counting the yards needed to get out of the end zone in the overall tally.

I believe they have always counted endzone yards in returns-kickoffs, interceptions etc

Nice to see Justin Jackson having an impact with the Lions. I was sorry to see him leave the Chargers and now Slater is out for the season as well. Gaz was signed early in the season to the Chargers practice squad. I don’t think he’s seen any action so far this season. Hopefully he’ll get a chance to play again. He’s been a solid backup on defense when called up.

PS- just heard that the 48-45 final in the Lions-Seahawks game was the first time for that score in NFL history.

“ The final score of 48-45 marked the first time in NFL history that a game had ever ended with that score. SEA 48 - 45 DET Final That's Scorigami!! It's the 1073rd unique final score in NFL history. As you can see above, it's the 1073rd unique final score in NFL history.”
