JK vs ED thoughts

Couple of things....

While ED has a good offense, I dont think anyone could confuse it for a machine. I think most there feel the offensive line is still a work in progress. I suspect they will be much better in 5 or 6 weeks compared to now barring any injuries.

Also, I dont know that there is a huge difference in the non-conference schedule of either. JKs strength of schedule according to Maxpreps is -42.5 while ED is -26.6. Princeton would easily defeat any team JK has played this year and I would bet anything that there would be a running clock. Dixon, hasnt won a game. AG comes in at #90 in 2A based on Maxpreps and hasnt won a game. EW has one win over Southern Wayne. Both EW and AG would have competitive games with Richlands or Croatan.

ED should be underdogs every time they play JK or WRH yet recent results with both show they are more than competitive.

All that said, I still say it is a toss up. Keys are going to be the play in the trenches, turnovers and the kicking game. I think it will be a close game with the difference being 7 points or less.

Princeton would not put a running clock on Eastern Wayne, Princeton isn't as good as you think they are. They didn't do it last year and Princeton was a lot better last year. EW has more athletes this year, they just can't get out of their own way. EW hurts themselves with lack of discipline.

Have so much respect for Brian, taking a back seat to battle is something not many could do. Brian built a powerhouse at ED and let battle take the reins. Much respect to both an the program they both built. One of the best athletes I'll laid eyes on was at ED, Tion Powell and Peterson. Always had some ballers at ED

And your are right except I'm not acting as if they are world beaters I'm just looking at year n and out jk havnt been that good but e.d has. To be honest I don't think no team has played anybody yet around here except wallace n that's Leesville. I'm a horse by the way n that's goes fir us to. Our test games were wrh and soon saint Paul's we should run over everybody else until playoffs

Real question, I know you follow JK and in the loop. Whatever happen to the diehard JK fan, he was super active on CP, forget his name. Heavy set white guy he had to be the biggest JK supporter ever. Hopefully he's doing alright, always liked his banter and support for JK

If it's who I think you're talking about, he's got a travel softball team and I think he has some business adventures going on.

Oh okay thought he was diehard football guy but guess maybe he got kids playing softball and helping them out. I meant him one time, super knowledgeable dude and good dude, just talked wild on the boards. So had a bad rap. He still at JK games ?

Yeah I think he has a daughter playing. I don't know for sure, but I think he coaches at one of the middle schools. I haven't seen him at any games thus far.

Going to be a good game... Might be low scoring... Yea I agree it goes in cycles though... Jk has improved and as long as the coach who is a jk alum and played ball for the tigers in his heyday sticks around then they be alright... As far as the guy on cp goes he is doing well I speak to him occasionally (more now since it's fantasy football season 😂😂😂) also it's horrible to hear about JBs death he was a great athlete and great human being he also is the record holder for most yards and I think tds in jk history now... I'm sure he will be in the schools hall of fame very soon.... Rip jb and tiger pride any idea if the team will honor jb with a decal or patch or anything on the helmet/jersey for the reminder of the season? Even running out with the jersey number during each game would be meaningful as well...

Yes they'll be wearing the #4 decal on their helmets. LLJB

ED gets it back with 2:50 left in the half. Great opportunity to extend the lead plus we get ball first 2nd half

Sloppy game man with so many killer penalties on both sides and turnovers. We just muffed the punt but luckily got it back
