Yeah let’s eliminate any chance of a Cinderella team. That makes it more exciting

Thre is no Cinderalla in the CFP, just sad little sisters who risk getting seriously injured in addition to being embarrassed. The G-5 should have its own playoff, just like FCS and every other division does. That would actually make sense and give the top teams at that level a real chance to win a national title against teams similar to them.

As it is this year, the CFP including the G-5 teams is like the Iowa high school 5-A playoffs including the two best middle school teams in the state. It doesn't make any sense.

If you recall, Iowa drove 93 yards for the potential game-winning TD and took a 16-15 lead only to have Oregon kick a FG on the final play to win 18-16. So yah, I guess Iowa could have given Oregon a game.

It was clear all along to anybody who knows anything about football. Perhaps you noticed that most people predicted exactly what happened. The results were not a surprise. Or maybe some people were surprised to learn Christmas is on Dec. 25 this year.

Any undefeated team needs to be in the CFP. Other than that, I don’t think any G5 team should get an automatic bid; only at large.

Nope. Undefeated at the G-5 level doesn't mean anything when they have to play Oregon or Ole Miss. Have their own tourney.

Nope. Right now G5 conferences are FBS level. An undefeated G5 team cannot be denied a chance at the FBS national championship with a 12+ team playoff field if the CFP has any integrity whatsoever.

Division 1 football separating FBS into P4 and G6 sub-subdivisions is another argument, but probably the next logical step in the decadence of D-1 college football....
