OK. From the video I see, both parties antagonized one another and exercised poor judgment. The girl says there were derogatory comments made about the girl's gay friend outside. They came inside to separate themselves from the verbal abuse. You see Mixon come in, inviting the confrontation, and hovering behind the gay friend, and the gay friend keeping his back toward Mixon, being as non-confrontational as he can be. According to the girl and her friend's account, Mixon called the gay male a "******,"
I must say, I have a lot of respect for the girl, who stood up for her gay friend, who was not intimidated and did not hesitate to confront the injustice and the bullying. On the other hand, she very unintelligently initiated the violence, and you take your opponent as you find them. I think a majority of men would shove the woman away in that situation, but some would do as Mixon does, and it's not entirely unjustified. There were also allegations of the "n" word being used by the gay male, so that might have contributed to the level of force used in response.
As the song goes, there ain't no good guy, there ain't no bad guy.
