How do we fit him and the lineup and if not do you guys think he transfers this offseason? Feel like Taylor will go after him.

Was a big fan when he was in high school and still a big fan. Don’t see a way for him to fit in him in and if he decides to transfer will root for him. Hope he sticks around since you never know how folks will grow or get injured- it is brutal and great if we can keep that quality of a wrestler around. How do we fit him and the lineup and if not do you guys think he transfers this offseason? It depends on James. If James comes in at 157 or 165 then Sealy could be permanently blocked by Kasak, Duke, and James, but if neither James nor Duke can hold 157 and Sealy can, there is a spot there after Kasak graduates, but only for a year since Kasak has two more left. He's in a tough spot. If he really wants to start and compete for AA honors, then he'll have to go, and I'll wish him well at his next stop (hopefully Lehigh or Penn or somewhere in-state like that). I'm not too concerned from a PSU perspective about guys who can't crack the lineup threatening us by going elsewhere. How do we fit him and the lineup and if not do you guys think he transfers this offseason? I would doubt James can make 157. He wrestled 165 recently at Super 32 and is entered at 168 at the Doc Buchanan tournament coming up in a few days. Also, he won't be 18 until June, so I think he still has some good weight to put on.It depends on James. Virginia Tech has the 2nd best feeder program in the country ... and their guys arrive with no wear and tear.A couple more kids and I'll be ready to say Utah Valley has the best feeder program in the country...
I know cruisliner means Rutgers on this board and my understanding is it has something to do w/ Suriano but what is the actual background on cruiseliner being Rutgers?Dare I say cruiseliner?
Bad take. Except for figs......none of them have lost a single match all year.Guess it'll be hard to resist the proven progress DT's made with Ryder, Facundo, Figs and hell Spratley's able to beat anybody ranked 7 or less this season.
Bad take yes facundo and ryder lost matchesBad take. Except for figs......none of them have lost a single match all year.

During an offseason, Rutgers nutjob poster RUCreedo claimed on their board that they were gonna land a PSU transfer, a big enough name that would make Cael "sh** a cruiseliner."I know cruisliner means Rutgers on this board and my understanding is it has something to do w/ Suriano but what is the actual background on cruiseliner being Rutgers?
Yes yours is a bad take. It is 2026. The year is less than 7 days old. GeeeshBad take yes facundo and ryder lost matches

Appreciate the clarificationDuring an offseason, Rutgers nutjob poster RUCreedo claimed on their board that they were gonna land a PSU transfer, a big enough name that would make Cael "sh** a cruiseliner."
First he claimed it was Cenzo, who actually denied it publicly. Then it was Cassar. Then it was anybody whose name ended in a vowel. Eventually, anybody whose name contained a vowel. Obviously none of them happened.
Suriano arrived on campus that summer, but was still at Bergen Catholic at the time. So it wasn't him.
Fast forward a year, and Suriano left for Rutgers. We started calling him Cruiseliner Nick. And of course Creedo took credit for it (though to their credit, nobody on the Rutgers board believed him.)

Or, as Cael said in today's presser, our guys come to train for world and Olympic championships.Obviously this can change but Willie said on Baschamania "Sealey isn't leaving until he graduates if he does at all"
Very similar to the statement the Mirasolas made as well.
The only school that he probably sees as a worthwhile similar training situation is Oklahoma State and like others pointed out, they have their guys also at the weights!
It sounds crazy but maybe the kid is happy and loves the school and team, sees the connection to Cael being worthwhile to keep and there's more to his life than wrestling as many NCAAs as possible (he's very active in freestyle in the offseason and I'm sure he views the US Open as just as good of a prize). He also knows he could be the guy at anytime since injuries always happen in wrestling.
I think Joe and Conner are two guys that have a chance to actually become World or Olympic champions at the senior level. They are in the best place to chase the biggest dream, so leaving to wrestle a College season or even 3 college seasons probably hurts them in the pursuit of that goal. I could see a case where either one of them or somebody else leaves for a year or two and then returns to train senior level at the NLWC. Cael cares about these guys and I'm guessing plenty of honest talks between the wrestlers and coaches are happening. It does suck for the great wrestlers that aren't competing and for us fans who would get to watch them compete.Or, as Cael said in today's presser, our guys come to train for world and Olympic championships.
Well it sure sounds like PSU is getting close to 30 scholarships. I suspect all the are getting some NIL icing on top. If your ultimate dream is olympic and world freestyle medals, then 5 years under Cael and the NLWC is indeed the best place to be. A nice sprinkling of starts and opens here and there, being a member of the greatest program potentially ever, plus a fist full of NC rings ain't so bad.It sounds crazy but maybe the kid is happy and loves the school and team, sees the connection to Cael being worthwhile to keep and there's more to his life than wrestling as many NCAAs as possible (he's very active in freestyle in the offseason and I'm sure he views the US Open as just as good of a prize). When are people gonna learn they need to be in their toes when they dispute something you've said? LolYes yours is a bad take. It is 2026. The year is less than 7 days old. Geeesh![]()
I think it's been mentioned that Cael didn't want any revenue share but he was promised he can give 30 scholarships if he needs it. He won't give out 30 (he still adds walk on wrestlers and you know some kids already are heavily discounted due to having family that works at the school, both of Casey's sons and Dalton Perry) but if there is a top kid who can be sold with it, he can commit to it even if it's not endowed.Well it sure sounds like PSU is getting close to 30 scholarships. The lure of starting somewhere has to be strong, but how bitter sweet to face off against one of your brothers in blue and white, while in some other singlet, only to lose and miss out on all of the lifetime benefits of staying under Cael. All this has to make the decision far from a slam dunk even for the most competitive dispositions. Not to mention injuries in wrestling are real, and any kid could be called upon at any time.
It baffles me too. I've got 3 paid writers and 4 research assistants so they should learn soon. When are people gonna learn they need to be in their toes when they dispute something you've said? Lol
It's hard enough for me to stay on my toes. In my toes is too much of a challenge! It baffles me too. I've got 3 paid writers and 4 research assistants so they should learn soon._
The truth of the matter is that I'm just a dumb idiot who like to have fun. How dumb? I couldn't spell cat if you spotted me the k and the a.
I'm not so sure of this. It really depends on what his goals are. Cael has changed the game. The kids coming to PSU are not coming to be AA's or National Champs. It is World Champ or bust, and any kid with that overriding goal is going to think long and hard about leaving Penn State right now. PSU is likely the best place in the world to try and achieve that goal .I think Sealey will transfer out this offseason. He has no clear path to the lineup next year (or the year after) and he is clearly too good to not get a shot as a starter. And since he was such a high recruit I think he is less likely to take the Bearclaw/Evans path and wait for 1 last year. I would guess Sealey ends up in the ACC or EIWAS
If you use Dan Gable Math, those 30 scholarships actually equate to 67 scholarships, give or take 1 or 2Well it sure sounds like PSU is getting close to 30 scholarships. He won't go to ok state he'll compete against Robideau. They have their horses already on team. They may take him just so no one else can have himHow do we fit him and the lineup and if not do you guys think he transfers this offseason? Feel like Taylor will go after him.
He has a path to start if he can maintain 57 he'll have his Sr year to be the starter. Question is would you wait to start one year on the best wrestling team or 2-3 years starting on runner-up team's I know what I would doHe won't go to ok state he'll compete against Robideau. They have their horses already on team. They may take him just so no one else can have him
True, though the one hitch is the number of guys at his weight who will be at NLWC. He might not be staying without outside funding, and even then it's not a given. Strategically, he might stay at PSU as long as possible and then do a 1-yr grad transfer to his eventual post-grad RTC.I'm not so sure of this. It really depends on what his goals are.
