This was reported on this very site 2-3 weeks ago, but on the pay side. Long term injury from Franklin pretty much means the season. Same term was used for Cam Wallace after last weeks injury FWIW.Maybe one of the reporters should ask Franklin

I think Franklin changed "season ending" to "long term" in the last year or so to cover himself in case someone comes back early unexpectedly like Zuriah Fisher did. But I think "long term" means "most likely out for the year". As to whether Franklin phrased things differently to Klatt in a private meeting or Klatt spun the long term injury his own way - we can only speculate.
I don't normally let the TV crew get to me but this Guy Johnson guy is the biggest blowhard I've ever heard. Just a complete buffoon. Makes me miss Beth.
