Not sure how I missed it live, but watching the replay, I noticed the JD logos on the field. Might have been discussed here earlier as well, but what was the final $$$ that they had to pony up to have that displayed??

Yes.

Learfield has noted that on-field placement for a major college program starts around $1 million a year. Usually part of a larger package. Top deals around $3.5 mil a year.

They're also an agricultural icon,... The Deere logo looks good on Kinnick's field.

I’m not sure we’re really in a State where we can pick and choose the sponsors, unfortunately. At least not for top dollar.

I realize this is probably blasphemy to some, but while enjoy Casey’s overall as far as a gas station. Their pizza is very overrated. My kids love it, but I just don’t get it.

It's normal for people to have pride in their in-state corporations and it makes sense to have regional sponsors. I think John Deere makes sense; Moline is QC/basically Iowa.

I will gladly have the John Deere logo at Kinnick over the ag school in Ames having the it on their field.
