Actually, he missed a significant amount of time on the air a few years ago due to some kind of an illness-but I don't know that they ever said what it was and it may not have had anything to do with this anyway.This is a shocker to me. He was only 61 and I don't recall health problems in the news.
RIP...always seemed to be one of the classier reporters on ESPN.
